  1. The Mickster certainly packed a lot of living into his his short frame.
  2. And stories like these are why I try and avoid all TV news shows, both sides. I much prefer the old TV shows, Gilligan's Island, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Andy Griffith Show, things like that. I never get upset when watching those shows. So what if I miss some bad things, my knowing about them just makes me excited and then I post about them and get more excited. The old I Love Lucy was a pretty good one. (sometimes Lucy gets on my nerves...too whiny)
  3. Back in the mid 90's when I was married to the ex, we lived in Smyrna, not far from the KFC on S.Cobb Dr. (which by the way, is located on the same site that a house I lived in when I was around 3-4 used to be) One night I went to the drive through to get the wife some KFC, I had already stopped eating their food. I placed my order and drove around to the window. I saw no one in the restaurant. After a few minutes, I blew the horn...nothing. A few more minutes, more horn blowing...nothing. After 10 minutes I pulled in and parked. Nervously I went into the restaurant.....no one to be se
  4. Wow. Tea Party, Westboro Church, all the "news" channels, Birchers, Obumacare, Jesus and God, Larry McDonald, Planned Parenthood, Charles Stanley, Churches, Mosques, Synagogues, TV Preachers, Racists, Mei Lan & Bill Maher Agreeing, Blacks and who knows what I missed. Here is my two cents, ok a quarter for inflation, which by the way will bet you a gumball. If they guy had given a $1,000 to a gay and lesbian thing 6 yrs ago and was fired for doing so, then the G&L people would be having a fit and calling it unfair. So, the way I see it, then they shouldn't have a problem with his
  5. I have no problems with gay people, never had, never will. (at least I don't think so) But I do have a problem with zealots, no matter what form they take. (unless of course, I am that zealot, in which case, I am just normal and the rest of you are just wrong)
  6. I think comparing Detroit with Carroll County is like comparing.......well, it's just.....I will be nice and not use the word stupid.
  7. It's on I Love Lucy while I get ready to leave. Much much better for my blood pressure.
  8. I can not click through but I will share my thoughts. It is one thing to have an opinion on these types of things. Just like it is ok for people to hate people of different races or cultures. When you send the check it becomes an act against gay people. Same as burning crosses on lawns it becomes an act. One is illegal of course. The perception of those that support same sex marriage see it as an act against gays. Soooo, giving money to the Baptist church or Catholic church is an act against gay people?
  9. I woke up with morning with the hotel TV on the Fox News channel. How it got on that channel I have no clue. But it certainly doesn't help you wake up with a smile. This is why I do not watch any of the TV news channels, Fox, CNN, any of them; except in special circumstances. Too dang depressing and I was sucked into it.
  10. A 10 year old boy darts out into traffic and is struck by a car. When the 54 year old driver gets out of the car to check on the boy, he is beating to near death. "A 54-year-old Detroit man is fighting for his life after about a dozen thugs beat him unconscious when he accidentally hit a 10-year-old boy with his truck." "‘He got his,’ another witness to the beating told the Free Press. ‘He got beat up real bad.’" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2596229/Driver-fighting-life-Detroit-hospital-unruly-mob-beats-unconscious-hitting-boy-10-truck.html I suggest we treat Detroi
  11. The CEO of Mozzila (Firefox) is forced to resign for supporting male/female marriage. "Brendan Eich's 10-day reign as CEO of Mozilla, developer of the popular Firefox web browser, ended Thursday. He was done in by the news that he had donated $1,000 in 2008 to support Proposition 8, the anti-gay rights measure on the California ballot that year. " http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-mh-gay-marriage-20140404,0,7985087.story#axzz2y19GbpUP Could this be the new question for the 2010's? Are you now or have you ever been a supporter of heterosexual marriage? Do not l
  12. I like to beat the total hell out of them with whatever I can get my hands on. I leave no chance of survival. I put a pair of jeans on once and was stung on the thigh. It scarred me for life. I discovered one in the shower with me a few years back and I literally took the shower curtain and rod down as I bailed. I hate those things. Not saying that I wouldn't perhaps do the same, but that was funny. If someone had videoed it, it would get a lot of watches. (people watching it, not timepieces)
  13. My cat loves to mess with them.
  14. They are freaky looking critters.
  15. You will love the Blue Man Group, they are a lot of fun. I have seen them twice at the Fox.
  16. I just found out he passed away. Good thing I wasn't going to send flowers.
  17. I always wonder how they drive off.
  18. There are a few things that I have eaten as much of as I will ever need. Not because they tasted bad or I didn't like them, just because I have other choices. One is eel and another is frogs legs and another is crawfish. But, many people can't get enough of them.
  19. Yeh, you can smile, you haven't been in the basement.
  20. Things that involve kids and animals get to me so much that I have a real hard time expressing myself. Sorry to hear this type of thing is happening. I would think media exposure would help the most, a bright light often sends the cockroaches running for their own safety.
