I have no reason to think that the firm that was chosen was due to a nefarious reason. But, if you know you are going against what was promised, no matter if the reason for doing so is legitimate or not, and you know you are going to have opposition and mad voters and mad council members, you do everything you can to show clean hands and do everything as they say, "by the book". The only times you don't do that is when either: A. You don't care that the voters and council members that will be mad B. There is something going on behind the scenes C. You are not very good at what you do

I can tell you where the plane is. At the bottom of the ocean. Why? Most likely an electrical fire of some type. How do I know? Just guessing. But I would put money on it.

But does he have ties to the people that are requesting the survey. If so, that doesn't make him a crook, or dishonest or biased. Just like the car seller's brother-in-law may be the most honest mechanic in the world, but it is just better (not to mention good business and apparently the rules) to have an outside party handle the inspection. In my business, our company can and does product testing, both our product and our competitor's product. I can show the results of those tests to prospective customers and it means little, if anything. Why? Because the testing was done by our comp

Is that because I was born there?

My son always liked this one.

Were you there for the nice visit? I kid, I kid.

Soooo, if I understand correctly, the FAA is basically saying that, if you are buying a used car, it is not a good idea to take the car the seller's brother-in-law's garage to make sure the car is in good condition. You should have an independent mechanic to look at the car. Otherwise, you may not get a fair assessment, is that the point? I never went to college or business school, but isn't that business 101?

What improper English? I just wrote it down the way they said it. My wife sometimes has a hard time understanding some of the people that talk more....southern. I have to translate.

It better be motivating if it is going to put as much distance between us as I will. Snakes and I are sorta like the boy with the horseshoe. It seems this boy was watching the blacksmith work with a horseshoe. The blacksmith took the horseshoe out of the fire and laid it down to cool. The boy came over, picked up the horseshoe and immediately dropped it. "Ah ha!", said the blacksmith, "Burned ya didn't it?" "Naw sir," replied the boy, "It just don't take me long to look at a horseshoe." It just don't take me long to look at a snake.

Where were those easy A's and B's in my day? I had to make C's and D's look like A's and B's and then look like C's and D's again. It was tough.

So let's get down to brass tacks - election fallout

Really, that plan should exist, but does it? That is one of the things that has bothered me from the start. If you have what you think is a good plan, you roll it out with bells and whistles and say, here is where we plan to go and here is what we think will happen. BUT, if you don't have a plan because this has been a hastily put together and not well thought out deal, then you stonewall. Or if the plan contains things that you know the general public will not want, you stonewall. So it leaves me wondering what the truth is. -
I knew those searches would come back to haunt me, but I never suspected it would hurt the whole state.

While I have no issue with a vote, I doubt their egos would allow it. If there is no more need for secrecy, then why hasn't a 3 yr, 5 yr and 10 yr plan been played out for the people to see? -

So if I understand correctly, you say that the current administration, which has said, "We don't need no stinkin vote.", should now say, "Uh, if it please the people, we would like you to vote on this issue." Do I understand correctly? -
No Toxic dump behind Hiram Elementary

First, thank you for posting. Second, when I read this, "Last month, quite by accident I literally stumbled over ", I had a mental picture of you tripping and falling and landing on the paperwork. (my mind wanders that attaway) Third, did Mr. Crist call before showing up? Did he ask you about your concerns and address them? Or did he just tell you he owned half of Hiram (does he own any of it that has the traffic problems?) and that was it? Fourth, while I have no doubt that you are an honest man/woman, I hope you understand that I am sure Mr. Crist would have a different version of the mee
