After seeing the guy who ran over the lady in D'ville's picture holding the gun, I just want to say that not all of us gun owners are crazy looking, angry, wanna be cowboys, who whenever they have a gun in their hand and a camera is pointed at them have to try and look as if they just escaped from some movie or cartoon. I am a proud gun owner and I am and look as sane as anyone one else. In fact, to prove my point, I am going to post a picture of myself with some of my guns. I think you all will agree, I am just a normal looking guy, not some mad gun crazed nut.

Making us cranky. So here is the full clip of Tim Conway telling his elephant story on The Carol Burnett Show. It is one of the funnest things ever. Watch Carol, Vickie, Dick and even Tim himself try not to laugh.

In my reading of history, there were many ladies in the 1800's who had children in their 50's. This was not that uncommon in the early part of the 20th century. I knew quite a few ladies that had kids in there 50's when I was growing up. My grandmother being one that had two kids when she was over 50. I have always thought that the influx on hormones in our foods and other medical things (the pill for example) may have affected menopause. But I think the biggest reason is simply, there was no reliable commonly used birth control at that time, except for abstinence. (Remember Scarlett in

When I stopped by the hospital here in Paulding on Monday to visit Thad. I had to repeat his name to the lady working the information counter at least 8 times. I spelled it each time, usually twice, because the lady working the information desk kept leaving out the H and calling him Tad. One reason we had to go over it so much was she had to call someone to get Thad's room information. She was a very nice lady and I never got upset about the communication issue and like I said, she was a nice as she could be. But I did think, at the time, about how I might have reacted if I had raced ther

She tugged on her ear, which was her way of saying hi to her grandmother. Her grandmother raised her. Carol's mother and father were alcoholics, who basically abandoned her to her grandmother. Here are a few more. -
Can't beat the best. Watch how Carol always lowered her head in her hand to hide the laughter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIqofVwYi4I

I stopped in the store today and the young lady who got shot was working. She looked good and said she wasn't having much pain from where she was shot, which was on the left side of her neck. Tough lady.

I mentioned in another thread that often when my wife discusses things, she gets wacky. Here is what I mean by that. One of the things that attracted my to the wife was that she was not afraid to stand her ground in a discussion. I liked the fact that she was passionate about her points and that I could not run over her in a discussion. Little did I know that she and her family were professional "discussioners" They will "discuss" anything and very quickly the "discussion" will turn and you will find yourself on a topic that is miles away from the original topic. They are very

My wife is all of that, although she does get a little wacky in her discussions sometimes, but that is just the way her family discuss stuff, left wing or right wing has nothing to do with that. Guard Dad has meet my wife a couple of times, but they have never discussed politics. I can promise that my wife would give him a run for his money in a discussion. (and if she gets off on some of wacky stuff, get him totally confused, at least she does me)
