When my wife was pregnant we were trying to find places to take our honeymoon (yes you can read between the lines ). I wanted to go to Cuba, but she would not go for it. She didn't want to take chance of going into labor and having a child in Cuba and having to explain that to the Govt! LOL I guess I didn't think of that! So we went for the next best thing. We ended up in Miami. North Cuba!

Thank you LPPT, I did not know you husband was a chiropractor. I have nothing against the ones I have never met. I only dislike the ones I have dealt with. I know not all are like that and some are bound to be skillful and useful in the appropriate situations.

I had chiroquacks trying to even my legs out by selling orthotic's, by selling me herbal pain killers that almost killed me, giving me adjustment when I had herniated discs that caused worse problems and didn't want me to go to MD's for this issue saying they would just prescribe meds and surgery. I try not to lump all chiro's into the same mold, but I am 100% a believer when you have severe pain or symtoms causing issues like numbness in your hands and feet and drop foot etc., you need to see a MD.

Maybe that is my problem. I haven't found the mythological "good chiropractor". LOL Then again, I may be just stubborn.

Are you aware that you cant see nerves or where nerves are compressed with an x-ray? Chiro's are only guessing what and where the problem is. Again, I know from experience. Did I have bad Chiropractors? Yes, are they all bad? Probably not. Do I trust a MD over a chiropractor? You betcha! If someone has severe symptoms, they probably need to go to a MD. A good chiropractor should tell you that. For me personally. After months of what I call chiroquacks, I went to a DR who was just as bad with prescribing "treatment". My employer (a professional sports team) sent me to the team neurologist

Has Anyone Ever Read, "How To Win Friends And Influence People?"

I think it's funny when it talks to itself. -
I guess I just had bad luck with 3 different chiropractors at the time. I know nothing about Team Chiropractic other than when and where to go to the right kind of treatment. I was speaking of the severity of the symptoms from the pinched nerve. If you have a crick in your neck or mild pain or a sore back maybe the chiro is an ok choice. If your having numbness in your hands or feet and drop foot a chiro can not do the exams and treatment that are needed. So ALWAYS is not a good statement.

Decisions on chiropractor or MD should depend on the severity of the issue. Saying ALWAYS go to a good chiro first is an asinine statement. If it is a severe pain or injury it is better to error on the side of a DR. Once you know what the problem is then you can determine if it is better to see a chiro or continue with the MD. Chiropractors are useful for certain issues, but definitely not for severe pain or injuries first.

I avoid that place. My DL has had the wrong address for the last 4 years because of not wanting to go to that place.
-
I am not saying there is a time and place for chiropractors, but if the pain is severe and causing other symptoms, you probably need to see a MD.
-
A good chiropractor should not take x-rays of your spine unless there are serious warning signs of possible fractures, bone disease, disc herniations etc., use of radiation to search for vertebral subluxations is harmful to your health and wastes money. There are correct treatments for back issues and medications are available if you are in severe back pain if needed. I would go to a MD way before I would go to a Chiropractor. This is from someone who has had back surgery for a pinched nerve/herniated discs and did months and months of treatment from several chiropractors and MD's.
