I feel bad for the goat.

My parents moved to Florida a week ago. It's weird not having them close anymore and I know they will miss their grandkids. They will be back for holidays and birthdays but they will miss my sons 6th birthday because my mom wants to attend her 50th high school reunion in NY the same week. That's not a problem because I'm not selfish. She will see him and her other grandkids during Christmas. The last time I drove/rode to New York, it wasn't fun. That is a long, long ride. I grilled Italian sausages onions and a green pepper for hoagies. I shredded some gruyere cheese to go on top. Chips on the side because I didn't feel like making fries.

My little guy had a great first day. There were no tears from him or me. Which is unusual, for me. I'm just so comfortable with where he's at in his school and I know he is too. His teacher sent me a picture of him during the first day and then she called me last night to tell me that he had a wonderful day and he's super adorable. She is wonderful. I feel like we hit the teacher Lottery. For real. He had a great day again today too. He even walked in by himself. I couldn't be happier.

Breaks My heart. My daughter graduated with him and said he was truly a great guy. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

My daughter graduated in May and now my little guy is starting kindergarten. I'm literally starting all over. I'm not ready at all for school to start back. I know it will be great for my son because he really needs the routine. I'm terrified though because he's going from a special needs pre-k that he's been in for 3 years into a "typical" kindergarten class. His teachers therapists and I know he's ready for it. He's come SO far. I'm still nervous about it though. Change is hard for him, and me. I would pay good money for one more week.

The thing is, the right would have the same reaction over the speech if it were the wife of a democratic candidate who made it. We would literally be having this same conversation except the sides would be switched. The writer of the speech took the blame and apologized.
