I've always said, I'd rather be at the beach with it raining than not be at the beach at all. But I understand the frustration.

We love habaneros too. I love the Heat and the flavor of them. Last night I made habanero cheese grits. I've heard about the new hot pepper. I think it's the Carolina Reaper. I would buy a plant if I knew where to find one. I would love to make some hot sauce with one. I would probably need safety goggles.

Just put some plants in pots like I do. The lazy way.

I planted some flowers a few months ago and they're not dead yet. I'm very late to the garden game. I bought one tomato plant, one habanero plant, and one jalapeno plant today. I planted them in pots and they're tiny. I have a hard time letting my tomatoes turn red. I love fried green tomatoes.

Ugh. I jinxed myself by leaving a Facebook status about how I would pay mother nature $5 for five full minutes of rain. No rain here. I've heard thunder and it's a little windy. On the bright side, I got to grill my shrimp and salmon.

There were showers in my middle and high school locker rooms. I've never seen anyone use one. This is a made-up controversy and I'm sad and embarrassed Georgia has been duped into wasting money and time on a lawsuit over it. Especially considering there are so many more important things we should be worried about. I have friends with kids who are literally dying and they still can't legally access legal cannabis oil in our state.

I hate this controversy because it's really taking away from what the holiday is all about. Now people on both sides are making it about the cross and not the fallen. Put up 79 flags in every field available. Nobody can or should complain about that.

I'm 99% sure that you don't have to buy 10 of something at Kroger to get it for a dollar. I've tried Ingles but I just find them to be too expensive. I like Publix for their seafood and their BOGO. I got today's shrimp at Publix. When I have time (like today) I like to go to Publix and take advantage of their sales and then I go to Kroger and get what wasn't on sale at Publix. Tonight- fillets and bang bang shrimp with fried green tomatoes on the side. Kroger has their fillets on sale for $10.99 a pound. I got some nice looking ones for only $15. The same steaks probably would have been $30+ at Publix.
