I'm beginning to think that I should change my name to ThreadKiller because, until recently, it seems as though I would post something, then the thread would go off into oblivion.

I will never admit that when I first moved from Dallas, Texas to Georgia, I (intentionally) left my television at my parents, but I packed the remote. Also, I will never admit that on more than one occasion when I was younger, and had some time to veg at home during summer breaks, I would go into the kitchen to fix my lunch, eat, then go back into the living room only to find the remote missing. After several hours of searching, I'd find the remote/phone in the freezer. On a side note... I don't have any issues w/remotes -- it's pure coincidence.

I agree, but for me, as long as he isn't with Dallas, I don't care.

I didn't go through all of the previous advise given, so please forgive me if this is a duplicate. Anyway, next time they call, ask them for their full name. They'll probably tell you their first name and MAYBE their last initial, if you can even get that. In any case, tell them this (word for word): "Well, (insert name exactly as they give it to you), let me start by saying that this phone call is being recorded in the event that any future action might need to be taken. I have recently been in touch with the Attorney General's office for the State of Georgia and have inform -

My wife (myprayers77) and I currently have Vonage. Prior to getting the Vonage line, though, we actually tried T-Mobile's @Home service. However, after trying to install 2 of the HiPort adapters and their Wireless router -- all with no success, we fell back to Vonage. That said, as Sport Source mentioned, we need to get a physical land-line from a phone company for her ventures. The only ones that we can think of in this part of GA is AT&T. We moved from Dallas, Texas at the end of last year and they had several phone companies to choose from... guess it's not that way here?

If you melt dry ice, can you swim without getting wet? Why do people drive on the parkway but park in the driveway? Why do they call them apartments when they're all stuck together? If you were going to shoot a mime, would you have to use a silencer? If a word in the dictionary were mispelled, how would we know? and finally, If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happen if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it? Have a great afternoon!

I replied to this thread last night -- with basically the same information as below. However, I deleted it for no apparent reason. So, if you read this and it makes you feel as if you're going through de ja vu... there's probably nothing wrong with you. Anyway, my wife and I purchased our house in December 08, so this property value assessment was our first. According to this report, our house depreciated by $79,000 (that's seventy-nine thousand -- not $7,900). That said, even with the lowered value, the new value is still around $40,000 more than we purchased it for.
