I think the only reason ours went down as much as it did was our house value went down by 79,000 from last year.

First off, let me start by saying that my wife and I just bought our house in Dec. '08, so we do not have any previous experience dealing with the tax rates. Secondly, based upon what the rate was last year, ours went DOWN by $1000!! However... I'm sorry yours went up, though!

Today, I attended my second meeting in three weeks and I think this might actually become the norm for me. It's very much worth the effort!

It seems that you have to get creative with them. After several attempts, if you still can't have your phone number removed from the account, then I'd use this post as a reference as to what to say when they call again. It sounds extreme, but then again, sometimes that's what is needed. Hope it works out for you!
