I live in Southern Trace in Yorkville, and we have no flooding. My boyfriend went out yesterday from Holly springs, but went into Rockmart and it was clear. Not sure how it is by Roses.

I'm thinking about any elderly or disabled people that are in need. Obviously if you are totally blocked in, nobody can get to you. But, if you are nervous/scared to go out and are in need of anything like medication, post your location and need, and maybe people in your area can help.

Maybe they could make GOOD use of the dirt at the airport to build up the washed out roads!!!

You would think when picking an area to build a mulit million dollar building, you would start by picking "higher ground" or building it up. Really, I have no clue how its done, but an important facility like that should be a little safer. There are buildings that have been around for hundreds of years, and we cant get one to last for 2??

I really dont know a lot of the roads, but my courier driver made it from Decatur to Camp Creek/Fulton Ind in pretty quick time. When I spoke to him, he was at Campbellton and Camp Creek. Seemed to be pretty clear, as he made it so fast, of course, that is heading West, not East.

Wow, I just saw the pictures of Clarkdale in Cobb, taken from a chopper. The water is up to the roof....how scary!!!! And again...I cant attach the link. Also, it looks like WSB has now separated their slideshow pics from Douglas vs Gwinnett. Everyone stay safe today!!!

No E/W if you travel Thornton to Austell. Also, I wouldnt go any where near Thornton. All of the West bound traffice on I-20 is being diverted off the ramp and can only head down Camp Creek. Its got to be a mess. I heard they called in more SP to guide traffic. I work down there, and wont be going in.

My thoughts are with the families of the stranded children, and I'm really feeling bad for the bus drivers and teachers who were smart enough to know better, but couldnt do anything about it. Did Cobb School Board oversleep this morning??

Things seem to be okay in my area of Southern Trace in Yorkville....but I dont know about the roads getting out. Reminds me of snow days in the North....it was always so exciting as a child when school was cancelled and a fresh blanket of snow to play in. I dont think I will be playing in the flood waters thought!!!

11 Alive says they thought others were trapped in a car and were trying to help. What would you do if you saw a car with possible people trapped. I could not stand by and watch as I think others are dying. They thought they were doing the right thing by trying to help others. If they actually had saved someone, would you all still want to be charging them for the rescue?? If your loved one was trapped, and they got them out of the car, would you expect them to be charged? No, they would be called heroes. Lets try to stay off the drama bandwagon.

I have a rotisserie that I cook mine in. I also like it on the grill.
