I'm pretty sure we read the same Bible, probably even the same version, and there are no fewer than 70 references to drinking in there. 75 references to it based on what is the commonly accepted definition of "drinking".

When does a foot only measure 11 inches ?
Mama Carol replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I guess it came about when size 14 became an Extra Large and when size 9 1/2 shoes are no longer size 9 1/2 but more like 8 1/2. Or when a shirt purchased 5 years ago that has shrunk is bigger than the next larger size shirt by the same manufacturer and same style but purchased this month. -
That's pretty quickly if you're scrambling to find a place to live. We had 30 days to move. We managed to find a house, assume the loan and move in about 20 days. Not everyone can manage that. How we did is still beyond me.

They sure can. If you had a lease, they would have to honor the lease until it ends. No lease, you can be out on the street pretty quickly.

If you don't have a problem driving to Powder Springs, there is one. I've dealt with them and they are very good. http://www.forkintheroadcomputer.com/services.html If you're coming from Hiram, go 278 to Florence Road. Turn right. Go to where Florence comes into Dallas Powder Springs Road and turn left. Go to the second traffic light (La Parilla is on the left), go to the right. They are about 3/4 mile on the left between Seven Seas liquor store and Mac's Tires.

If that is who I think you're talking about, he no longer does that.

If they had been smart, they would have held that election on a regularly scheduled election day. But then again, Cobb had to re-do their vote. It passed. Twice.

We lived in a rental when we first got married. The kids had been moved from mom and dad to grandparents and then back to dad and then dad got married...to me. The oldest had gone to three schools in two years. We were hoping to buy the house we were renting. Suddenly one day we get a letter in the mail telling us we had 30 days to move because the house had been sold. So, there we were again uprooting the kids. Best thing that could have ever happened to them! We bought a house, not only those two but their baby sister grew up in that house. We're still there, 34 years later. Just

I could tell horror stories about the crap you would never think would come up where real estate is concerned. I wholeheartedly agree and can't stress ENOUGH that before anyone undertake what the OP is talking about, they consult an attorney. And to the OP, my best advice based on what I have observed of the real estate industry the last 11 years, run like hell from this. Don't pay the taxes. Use your money to get another place to live.

I totally agree!! The government is pushing too much on the citizens. And people just go along with it. -

Some of the spaghetti westerns made the list of top 100 cowboy movies. According to IMDB: 1. Once Upon A Time In the West 38. A Fistful of Dollars 39. For A Few Dollars More 40. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly 82. Hang 'em High I've seen both "The Magnificent Seven" and "Seven Samarai" (with subtitles). I think the original Japanese version is a better film. But that's just me.

Black ink is used extensively in tattooing and is sometimes used exclusively to create entire designs. The contents of this ink include iron oxide, carbon or logwood to produce rich, deep black tones Red inks have long been associated with a phenomenon dubbed "red reaction," an allergic reaction to the agents used as pigment in these inks. Iron oxide (rust), cadmium red, cinnabar and napthol are all used as red tattoo pigment. Orange tattoo ink ingredients include disazopyrazolone, disazodiarylide and cadmium seleno-sulfide. These pigments have good, stable structure and are known to b -

I was just curious because it seems that many of the anti-vaccine people do have tattoos. -

Not to be argumentative but do you take medications that are prescribed? Have tattoos? Have fillings in your teeth? I was on an anti-vaccine site a few months ago and was stunned to see the person who owns the site and who refuses to vaccinate her children is covered with tattoos! I mean really? -

MOST of the people who developed GB from vaccines did so after receiving the swine flu vaccine. But the CDC reports: However, two studies did suggest that about 1 more person out of 1 million people vaccinated with seasonal flu vaccine may develop GBS. Here you go: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/factsheet_gbs.htm I do my homework. -

I don't get the pneumonia shot yet. Once I pass 60, I'll get that and the shingles vaccine. I probably should go ahead and get the pneumonia shot because I've had that a number of times and really don't want it ever again. -

Every year, anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 people die from flu-associated illnesses. The odds of being hospitalized or dying is 1 in 10,000. The odds of contracting Guillain Barre syndrome are 1 in a million. I've had the flu and literally thought it would be blessed relief to go ahead and die. I get my flu shot every year. Early in the season. Are there risks involved? Sure. Either way, you're betting you beat the odds. I've never been much of a gambler. I'd rather take the risk of developing a complication of the shot than dying of the flu. That's just me, though. YMMV -
A couple of my husband's great-aunts and their family were friends with Doc. I don't know if they lived in Valdosta or if he came to visit them in Thomasville. My mother in law apparently has pictures of the great-aunts and Doc together. Love the movie "Tombstone" since I'm a huge Kurt Russell fan (and have been for more years than I care to admit) but I like "Wyatt Earp" much better. I think Kevin Costner was the much better Wyatt but Val Kilmer was great as Doc. It's a shame they couldn't have been in the same version!

Does it work? Yes, it does. Our sales calls went from several dozen a day to maybe a half dozen a week starting a few weeks after I signed up. But you do have to renew it every five years. I have actually had sales callers hang up on me once I told them we were on the list. I've also had them say they did not know but would not call again.

Looking for Girl Scouts of the past!
Mama Carol replied to fireandmusic@bellsouth.net's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I was a Girl Scout well before the 1970s. -
Years ago when Slim Pickens was in Atlanta filming a movie, he came to see my grandmother who was a HUGE fan of his. I have a picture of him, me and three of my cousins. I know a picture was taken of him and my grandmother but I have no idea where that picture is.

I loved him!! He reminded me so much of my dad. Well, except my dad was only six feet tall. But they looked very, very much alike.
