I have never understood the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg thing. I used to have a free place to stay in Gatlinburg any time I wanted to go. I went once. I LOATH the place. I had to go to an awards ceremony at Dollywood a couple of years ago and I will say that Pigeon Forge is just a tad bit more palatable than Gatlinburg. I have had it for two years. I would say we average 3 to 4 meals a week on the Egg. Around the holidays it will run 24 hours a day for week. I looked at them for a few years before I bought one. During that time I went through two grills that cost me around $200 each and a smoker. I have had this for two years and it's as good as new. I paid less than $700 for the large egg, a nest, ash tool, grate lifter and a 20# bag of charcoal. Not sure about the $700 comment someone made but cheaper ain't always better. You will want a plate setter for slow cooking and I bought a cast iron grate for grilling.

I'll be interested to know if anyone else finds it painful. If not, there is no telling what they gave me.

I got the flu shot last year and I swore it caused me problems. But I later found that it wasn't the flu shot.
