Some folks couldn't conjure an original thought in two lifetimes. Instead, they prefer to find a comfortable place standing in a flock of like minded people and try quacking louder than the rest. I do mostly black and white documents and I absolutely HATE Epson. It will use a litlle bit of the color cartridges even when printing black and white so that for every two black cartridges you buy, you will have to buy the three color cartridges. And what really ticks me off is that if one of the color cartridges runs out of ink the printer stops working. You can't print a black and white document if you have an empty color cartridge. You can imagine how much fun this is when I am up against a bid time. I will NEVER own another Epson.

Take your lint filter to your sink and run some water in it. More than likely the water will puddle and not run through it. Take a stiff brush and some dish detergent and scrub it good. Rinse it off and try running water through it again.

Changing the heating element is a piece of cake. What you might find is that the heating element is okay but the capacitors are bad. Using dryer sheets will cause the capacitors to fail. Also, you might want to scrub the lint screen with soap and hot water until the water passes through the screen freely. You might not need either. And Pate's Appliance could save you some money on buying all the different parts. I wouldn't hesitate to just call Pate's now that I have used them.
