  1. We are obviously talking about two different things. Cheap shots and hard hits are not the same thing. Good hard plastic popping hits can change the tempo of a game as quickly as 30 yard pass plays. I played for coaches that preached firstest with the mostest and if he's just standing there put him on his ass. This has always been a part of football. But I'm old school. My heroes were Dick Butkus, Tommy Nobis, Ben Davidson and the like. I'd like to see Goodell tell one of them not to hit someone too hard.
  2. I have. It's just another Mexican restaurant.
  3. Pardon me sir, but your Bulldog is showing. I can just hear my old coach now. Feelip, on this next play I want you to back off a little and don't hit the other player quite so hard.
  4. Wonder which one of these "wonderful people" cleared the most profit from the overpriced courthouse project?
  5. This has been around as long as football. Hard hits in high school were rewarded with a helmet sticker. I'll say this. When Goodell gets the NFL sissied down to two-hand touch, I will stop watching it. And the Saints will still beat the Falcons at least twice in 2012.
  6. The secret to a really good steak is the dry aging. A fresh steak is never going to be as good. But if you don't know the difference, go to Rockmart.
  7. BS! My family was some of the original squatters in Paulding County and I own 50+ acres. WTF does that have to do with having enough sense to know the difference between a bunch of self-serving crooks and a decent person?
  8. Still recovering from a long day yesterday. Will you explain your statement?
  9. So why is everyone so caught up in how "terrible" slavery in America was and very seldom is anything said about The Trail of Tears? Is it because the North American Indian isn't trying to collect on their past?
  10. The best steak anywhere is going to be the one I do on the Green Egg. 6 minutes at 700 degrees. But it takes 10 days to dry age the meat before time to cook.
  11. McCormick and Schmicks, Bones, Ruth's Chris.
  12. I try to do everything organic, but after chasing fire ants around and around my yard for a few years I decided to try the Over and Out. I was surprised how well it works. I don't re-apply until I start seeing the mounds again. Usually 14 to 18 months.
  13. Over and Out. You'll need to do the whole yard. Works for a year or more.
  14. What is really scary is how being in the vortex makes you start speaking Spanish. Just kidding, just kidding. as soon as I get back on schedule I want you guys to look at my basement.
  15. My Facebook friends that thought the "Tebowing" was so brave and cool are coming UNGLUED over this move. I actually think they see it as a religious (or anti-religious) statement by the Broncs. I think they enjoy being annoying. As a football decision, I'm not sure. Peyton is on the downhill side of his career I would think. But who knows, this could be a spark that he needs to get four or five more years of performance.
  16. Well I just had catfish, fried squash, and slaw at Dinners Ready. Never had any better. Great cakes, cookies, pies, fried apple pies.

Instead of the cover of Sports Illustrated they made the front page of busted this week. Makin' mama proud. Huk-Q-Leez
  18. I would have to see the budget to be absolute, but I think there are three salaries and probably two county vehicles. Not sure how the operating costs for the terminal building are handled. But I seem to remember that this is what we are paying. If this is it, that is really not that big of a deal.
  19. I only saw one airplane of the 25 that would be worth a million. The Cessna Citation 3 that the hangar fell on and it is registered to a company in Augusta. I'm not sure, but I bet taxes are paid on this baby in Augusta. I have never been against the airport. And I thought the way the federal money was secured was probably the best thing the former chairman got credit for, although I am pretty sure someone else made it happen. I do have a problem with a politician and his buddies being told no and then forcing it on the people. And I do agree that the county taxpayers are paying
  20. Yep. Those racist Hispanics. Zimmerman (the shooter) is Hispanic, not white. That really trucks up where you were headed with this, huh Eddie.
  21. I bought a Kitchen Aide convection oven from them a few years back that went out in less than a week. They wanted to give me the old "send it back to the manufacturer for repairs" line. I was able to persuade them to take it back. Amazing how making a scene in their store changes their policy. Just had to do the same thing with a bank last week. They are probably fine to do business with. I have just always had better luck with Sears appliances and they have always had a great scratch and dent store.
  22. Something I never understood. If Jesus is making these tornadoes go through houses, why do these people crawl out from under the rubble and say Jesus was protecting them? I always want to say "BS! Looked like he was trying His best to kill you."
  23. I can't help but notice how the universe has a way of evening the score. Not saying I get any pleasure out of it, I will say that I hate people that take advantage of others simply because they have a little more money or a little more influence. And I don't think it goes unpunished. And every now and then we have to watch the whole ugly drama play out before our eyes.
