  1. WARNING!!! DUMB QUESTION ALERT!!!! Does this mean to boil water for pets too?
  2. I got a much needed laugh out of that mental image.
  3. Oh my Wendy, I hope you and your furry friends are okay! That must have been one heck of a day.
  4. Hope those people are able to get out of their house.
  5. I came through that way 1/2 hour ago and was able to make it.
  6. I rented it from Budget Rental, but it was at O'Hare airport. They carry the Camaros in their fleet though, so I'm sure you could get it around here too. It only had 1,100 miles on it, so I can't imagine it was too beaten up. My brother, who is 6'1" had his head rubbing the roof, so I'm not sure how someone 6'4" wouldn't. He eventually adjusted the seat to where his head just skimmed the roof LOL. It looked hilarious. I have to say, it sure gets attention from men and women.
  7. It started with the trunk. I could barely fit my medium sized rolling suitcase in it. Which seemed ridiculous, because it's not a small car. When I got in, I immediately realized that the rear view mirror takes up most of the windshield, and a quick look around revealed just how teeny, tiny the other windows are. The car is one ginormous blind spot. Forget about using the visor to block any sun, it's the size of a postage stamp. If you are over 6 feet tall, your head WILL rub against the roof. Don't bother with the back seat, it's just for looks, you wouldn't want to put anyone you care
  8. I hate to tell y'all, but the car was absolutely horrible. I was MORE than happy to turn it back into Budget after 4 days of driving it. But I do have to admit...it sure looks nice. I know I'm gonna catch some shi'ite for this
  9. That's wonderful!!! Good luck to you. I'm one puzzle piece shy of finding my whole family and I know how hard it is to know they are out there but not have any contact. I'm so happy that you got a positive response!
  10. Unless someone knows the intimate details of a person's financial situation, they have no idea if they are "keeping up with the Jones'" or if they really ARE the Jones'. I don't think anyone should pass judgment on anyone for what they have or don't have. Plus, it's nunya.
  11. Our big splurge was my car. But I had wanted one since I was 5 years old and swore I'd have it by the time I was 30. I was off but not by much. We did it the right way, and EVERYTHING was paid off before we bought it. I think sometimes people feel I'm trying to keep up with the Jones' or "put on airs" but then again, I DON'T CARE! I love my car and enjoy every mile that I put on it. And we did it the right way, Dave Ramsey would be proud lol
  12. Wow, that is really cool. And I was fighting off tears as well.
  13. It's been three months and he was able to start the 4th grade on time this year. He's a miracle and a blessing, I can't imagine a world without him in it. And he was very lucky, he spent 10 days on the waiting list. God Bless the donors family but I know my sweet nephew will never let any day he gets go to waste.
  14. My nephews life was recently saved by an organ donor. I am most definitely an organ donor myself.
  15. I can't imagine someone buying a V6. Just go all out and get the v8, you'll be glad you did. I had read recently that if/when they put out the Corvette C7 that they might make a GASP V6 version!! WHAH?!?!?! The HORROR!
  16. Oh, and Delta has those tasty Biscoff cookies. I LOVE THOSE!
  17. I'd take Delta. Their seats are more comfortable. Security wouldn't be an issue with either airline. I recently accidentally took something banned in airplanes onto the plane and neither Hartsfield nor O'Hare caught it. Didn't realize until I was halfway home when I noticed it in my purse and almost had a heart attack.
  18. Thank you for choosing such a wonderful organization to donate to. The Wounded Warriors Project has helped a few of our friends and they are an absolutely INCREDIBLE group of people!!! The scope of assistance they offer is so helpful to so many of our troops who have come injured both physically and mentally and to their families as well. I won't be able to make it, but thanks for the reminder that I need to donate to them.
  19. When I get really sick, I put myself on the "Sweet Potato and Boost" diet. For the first few days, it's the only foods my body can handle and they have tons of nutrients. Boost tastes way better than Endure and I always drink the chocolate flavor. It's not as bad as you would think. I hope she's feels better. How terrible it must be for a child to suffer from Crohn's. I know how bad it as an adult so I can only imagine.
  20. I'm not going to Iraq lol. I'm not THAT crazy!
  21. I'm scared I'm going to get quarantined in a foreign country over this. This week I'm traveling to the Middle East and they take your temperature when you disembark. I'm terrified I'm going to have a slight temp and they are going to lock me away somewhere.
