Like I said, it's different for different people. I bought my first home in 1992, and lived in it for 10 years on the mark. As I watched my neighborhood turn into gangland, I also noticed that my comfy little 50K house was now worth 100K. So, I doubled my money and moved out here. I know there's plenty of people who don't have a clue in how to manage money...my thoughts rarely go out to them. It's the ones who are super intelligent, great with their finances, etc. who lost their jobs (and careers) after all of the schooling they went through, and all the years they spent honing themselves

I have seen and heard about the positive effects of families pulling together, which is certainly a good point. But still, the father's are the ones I know of who are hurting the most...when you have always been the bread winner and have provided for your family, then all of a sudden your life long career takes a dive, it's an emotionally devastating thing for fathers. Whether your family views you differently or not, you still think you have let them down. That's just something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I have had 4 years to deal with this now, so I'm through the hard parts. But since I was

I agree with all of that, as my dad taught me the same thing, except for ONE thing....how do you buy a house "outright"??? The CC's and all of that, yeah (dad said CC's were a work of the debil! ) I've never made a car payment in my life (always drove used cars and paid cash, usually about 1K and one time for 3K).....but a house??? Sure, I was more than able to make my monthly payment, with plenty left over. Of course, that's before the bubble burst 20 years down the road, and my career hit the crapper.

The families I know who lost their homes have all moved in with their parents, most of them anyway. A couple of others whose parents have long passed away are renting very small houses for about as much as their mortgages were. I also know several friends who have had to talk their kids into moving back in with them in order keep their homes, by having their kids help pay the mortgage. It just plain sucks out there, and I have not talked to a single person yet, who thinks it's going to get better anytime soon, if ever.

I have been to several places, but the fact remains...ink cartridges are a RIP-OFF!!! Terrible expensive anywhere you go. A friend recently gave me a printer for free (to print on my CD's)...now if I can just get up the money for the ink! It's crazy how much that stuff costs!

I just got in two for resale. One is a Honda, but needs the hose & attachments. The other seems to have everything, but I haven't gone through them yet to see what kind of shape they're in. Will post as soon as I get them done.

If I Say Something Is New To Me.; Are YOU Offended?

New bodies, no marriage, only love, and luckily no memories of the bad things, as all things become NEW. Which makes sense to me, because Heaven wouldn't be Heaven if it came with the bad memories of life on this decadent place. -

Oh DAYUM...you didn't!!! (just say that) OOPS!!! You said X wife.....I'm at ease with both of mine....first one even came back, though I'm not sure why...I can't imagine anyone wanting to live with me! -
Great!!! Anyone wanna buy a used Snapper riding mower? Or does GLT wanna do some trade work? I think my pooper needs pumping too...although it's a strange situation....the "pool" is in my backyard, and the field is on the side yard, good ways off....the tank itself is in the front yard. I think I need some sort of GEO specialist to check this out. If it's poopy, then it's from the neighbors up from me...or it's a stinky spring head.......that made me giddy. But yeah...a permanent wet spot that stinks (just a little and if you poke a stick deep enough inside it). Otherwise....I can't figu

TRAITOR!!!!!!! Thine sentence shall be that of a great tarring and feathering, which shall occur on the Dallas Square at the stroke of midnight on the day of thine own choosing. Be ye therefore warned, and to quickly get thine affairs in order, lest our great leader, The Czar of Cigarz, decides to shorten the time wherein ye were just informed. Did you except anything less?? Howdy, late nighter!....11:30 Pffftt!!

AS I am sometimes referred to as Scooby, instead of Subby (inside joke) let me speak for all dogs here.....WE (Us dogs) want to know how in the blazes we got compared to Zombies???? Even as a dog, I have enough sense to know that Zombies don't exist. Well...we dogs DO!!! When we snuggle up with you, you can FEEL us there...spirit and all. When you're intruding on our owner, that incredible pain from the bite on your ass, should tell you we're very loyal!!! (lying in wait) -
The tunnels are a well known fact. They have provided the county with covert op's with each other ever since Moby Dick was a Minnow!

A dog is one of the few animals on the planet that can be the perfect soldier, guardian, soul-mate, "the go-to buddy late at night when your wife is asleep and there's no one else to talk to"....best part is that the dog just LISTENS...never argues with anything you say~~~ -

Agreed. The only reason I took the job with DPS was because they had BBB all over them, and you could call (and believe me, I did! ), their record was as pure as the driven snow. That was good enough for me. But, after all this defending ONE great service, I would caution people to err on the safe side.

IMO, a dog (or at least some of those GREAT dogs we grew up with) probably has as close a soul to it as we do. Maybe it's just me, but I've more than my share dogs, and the one's I really had lots of time to spend raising them, you can see the emotions in them, as you would in most people. So let me put it this way...if a dog doesn't have a soul, then they SHOULD. -
Good question....the biggest reason I decided to not pursue it (along with engine bizz getting better). However, I stay in touch with the guy who trained me out here...terrific guy. He's tried to get me back into it, saying it was doing great. How is that much different than trusting your lawyer? (if you've ever used a lawyer, that is). Our paperwork was very up front, no tricks, and we bit the bullet if things didn't work out, although the customer lost nothing. I'm just saying while I thought all of these were scams, I was very satisfied with the way my particular company handled business. W

My opinioins have changed in the past 2-3 months. I bought my wife a Nikon COOL PIX L18 about 2 Christmas's ago, I think it was. Well, she didn't like the way it took "action" photos, or pics using the zoom on it...said it looked blurry. Anyhoo, she wound up getting a very expensive digital true 35 mm (Cannon, I think) via a cool gift card from her family at Christmas....I mean this thing was incredible for action pics and LONG distances away. So, I guess it matters on what you're looking for...her's obviously has top of the line shutter speed and remarkable long distance, zoomed in shots. But
