Valentines Day....how about a night out at The Olive Tree
subby1 replied to subby1's topic in Business NEWS
Thank you. I'm feeling better today for the first time since Saturday, so hopefully I'm on the mend. Nothing bothers me worse though, than missing a piano gig! -
If you're ready to get that mower back into shape, drop me a line. Affordable rates, quality service. Spring is right around the corner, so don't delay! Glenn 678-315-8794

Valentines Day....how about a night out at The Olive Tree
subby1 replied to subby1's topic in Business NEWS
I just want to apologize for not having made it in last night to play. I started feeling ill on Saturday afternoon, and it just went downhill from there. Sick all day Sunday too. By the time Monday morning came rolling around, I thought I would improve enough, but it didn't take long for me to realize there was no way I could pull it off. I had to call the owner ASAP, and let her know. I think this is maybe the third gig in my whole life I have ever missed due to illness. So, to anyone who came, and was expecting to see me (hear me), I most certainly apologize. That said, I hope everyone -
Gas pump prices highest ever for this time of year
subby1 replied to nschur's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yep. And it makes you wonder, wth made it go up higher than gas! I mean, it was OBVIOUSLY cheaper to produce than gas, or it wouldn't have been less expensive all these MANY years. So, in my mind I'm thinking, "huh...all 18 wheelers use diesel, and they account for most of how products get shipped all over the place"......seems like a "lame reason" to make everything we consume cost more. It's totally screwed up, and is something I would like to search online about. -

Regardless of HOW controls it, all I know is that it SUCKS!!!! Big time!! -
None taken. Have you ever "heard" them before?? I know Geddy's really sore on the eyes, but MAN!! What talent!! Singing incredible hyper-sonic soprano, tearing the bass up, and playing keyboards with his feet. They just WOW me!
-
I couldn't agree more. I've never seen that much talent from only 3 guys on a stage in my life!! Geddy might be ugly, but look at Keith Richards! As long as they're rock stars, there still gettin' more than the rest of us.

I'll be playing again at The Olive Tree, in Hiram at 6:00 for Valentine's Dinner Night. You folks come on down, and treat your significant other to a fine night out.
-
As I generally have been playing the piano on Saturday's I just wanted to make sure that folks knew I would be playing tonight (Friday) instead of tomorrow. Starting at 6:00 and playing till closing time. Come on down and have some great food, and you can poke fun at the piano all you want to!

If this is someone you've known for a while, then just keep on until they get the fact of how much it is bothering you. They may not be aware...you may need to evoke more emotion...only in a civil way. My neighbors are all guys, so it's easy for us..when we get together at weekends on someone's driveway, after a few beers we just come right on out and gripe about it. It works, plus no one gets mad, since they all thought it was the beer talking.

That last few times over a couple of years going there, you could see the coffin nails already getting hammered in. -
Personally, I think it's a rather simple equation....money, and the lack thereof, as peak production has not only peaked a few years ago, but cut everyone's wages over there. Believe it or not, and as radical as you may think they are...Muslims will sell out too, if the price is right. Once the money dried up, then they get discontent, fall back into poverty, and fall back on their religion. Then comes the protesting, and a civil upheaval. My bet is that we (USA) will wait until it gets nasty enough to justify going over there and "keeping the peace".....and the oil, while we're at it. An

Awaiting my PM...

Everything you said, plus all that GREEN, and the grass, flowers, etc. If I wanted this much snow, I'd move my butt up north somewhere. If I move anywhere at this point in my life it will be further south....the hotter the better.

I am SO looking forward to that! Cold weather hurts this 45 yr old man!!! I can't stand it.

FIVE push mowers for sale, THREE for $75 and under!
subby1 replied to subby1's topic in Business NEWS
Well, Tom....it's like this. For one thing, I have repaired more than my share of push mowers that were bought brand new, and landed in my shop before the owners could get ONE season out of them. I have been told that bringing them back to "the super-stores" that sell them en masse, is not only a total pain in the butt (assuming it's still under warranty) but after waiting for 2 or more weeks, a lot of times they won't make it through a single cutting before crapping out again. You wouldn't believe how many REALLY NICE push mowers people have GIVEN to me for free, simply because of things like -
All of them run GREAT, and are rebuilt to last. Only one of them is over $75. They include basic push mowers, one with front wheel self-propel, and one with a bagging unit. If you're in the market for a mower this season, but don't want to spend $200 on even the cheapest mower, brand new, then give me a call. Save yourself some money, while not having to worry about quality. These are all fine mowers, fully reconditioned, do not burn oil or smoke, have good compression and plenty of power to get the job done! I am enjoying reading all of these stories! -
I have to wonder about the OP's thread now....if they said "Good night", then how could we possibly respond to them? They just left the building!!! I know....but it's one of those things that make you go...."huh???"

Toss in whatever you want to. For me (and I moved here about 7 years ago) but I had to bring my cooler with me when I went to the grocery store, so the ice cream wouldn't melt by the time I got home. Living right off Ridge Road, there was no Kroger, or a strip mall...just a Grand's store and a 4-way stop sign. Had to go into town to get groceries. Having early life friends who lived out here, I still remember 92/278 getting a red light! Call it good, or bad....all I know is that the Kroger strip mall thing (and AutoZone) (and Grands) saved my butt, and still do!! Only thing is....

Toodles!! Pleasant dreams.....we'll just have to see what the morning looks like when it gets here, I'm a reckoning. Riley NEVER sleeps this early!!
