  1. Thanks Tom! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't know if it was okay to try to sell them on pcom or not, although I have sold a few on Facebook. If they give me the go-ahead to post a thread about the CD, then I would love to. The neat thing about this particular CD, is that the music spans over 20 years. I was only 21-22 when we recorded the "Main Street" band material with Doug Stone, who at that time, was known as Doug Brooks, down in Newnan. So, there's also some really "neat and rare" material you couldn't find anywhere else.
  2. One of many reason I don't watch any sports....no to mention, there's just too many other things I HAVE to do....who has the time???
  3. Moments from bed....I like that. Although, I have to run through the gauntlet of late supper before I retire for good, this evening! Have a great night.
  4. I Paulding Waste. I've been through 3 since I've lived here, and they ROCK. BTW, I'm late on paying my bill....danggit....now I have to write a check!! Their service is better than I've ever had, ever. And their rates were the same or less than some other trash companies who were very anal about (bagging everything, bla, bla, bla....) when a trash company comes to my house and just IGNORES my can because something wasn't bagged, then they LOSE....big time.
  5. Sorry, I'm late getting here. It would seem that the full moon has had an affect on all of my "neighbor families". Unusual to hang out in the driveways with my neighbors on a Thursday night. It was short and we all called it a night, (early), but that moon looked AWESOME~~~~. It's been a great day and evening for me...hoping the same for yall too.
  6. Best post I've read, so far!!! You rock~~ That's the only way to correct this society....through local and community measures.
  7. Just finished up another NICE Craftsman, self propelled, 2n1 mulcher/bagger 21" cut with a 6.75 engine on it...new blade, filter, the works. It's not on my site yet, but here's a pic until I can get it on there. BTW....I will be selling these things ala-yard sale style on Saturday from noon until dark. So, this Saturday would be a GREAT time to drop on in and see what you like. Let me stress one thing here- I have dropped the prices on these rebuilds tremendously, so that YOU can save YOUR OWN money. I make very little from re-sales, as most of my income is from repairs. Since, I'm runnin
  8. Great. I would think by now that a lot of people would be looking, but it's still slow. I fired up all my own mowers (and these) yesterday, and mulched up all the leaves to get the yard nice and clean. Like I said, I have several different kinds all for different prices. Also have TWO more coming up very soon, that's why I need to move these things on out, and let someone put them to good use this year.
  9. Here's just an example of what I've got available. Give me a call, if you want to drop by and cut some deals!! For detailed pics, go to my sales page of my website: SALES PAGE Glenn 678-315-8794
  10. That's not bull crap. Ask ANYONE who has had a DUI in their life. If DUI's are on the rise, it's probably due to older people who have never been caught, because DUI "awareness" is higher than I have ever seen in my life. DUI penalties are tougher than you could possibly imagine, today. And like Mark said, the economic crisis HAS IN FACT, increased alcoholism and other abuses, even suicide rates jump dramamtically. These are all well known facts to most people. You could research it if you like. I would infer that your heavy defensiveness about this topic only leads me to believe that some

    Gas Prices

Absolutely not. I am aware that oil reserves peaked a few years ago, so logic would dictate that the prices will only get higher.
  12. Ohhh!!! Over here!!! Had a great day too, and the weather was wonderful!
  13. The "Lady" is right. I'm not a chainsaw kind of guy, but if I were, I would buy the tool and do my own. Of course, I repair the engines all day long, but the specifics of chainsaws....I just don't have the time for. At least not yet.
  14. Sorry, I didn't mean that YOU or anyone "preferred" that people would DUI. I was just tossing in what I have seen as a result. Granted, I'm sure no one would condone such activity.
  15. Disclaimer: I only designed the infrastructure....roads, storm drain, sewer, lot layouts, etc. No actual homes.
  16. Good point. The store owners I know say they wouldn't open anyway, because they want a day off like everyone else. Let the cards fall where they may.
  17. I'm not familiar with 7 Hills either. But I did design Brookstone, back in my hay-day, and it's a good environment for people, and still is. I guess we should all remember one thing though- golf carts ARE ILLEGAL on public roads. Even a super star like Bill Murray can tell you that!
  18. Tesla being exploited by Edison is one of my favorite analogies as to how capitalism can be set so DISTANT away from the "inventive mind". Good thread, and a great point. Telsa was a genius, well ahead of his time. Yet, Edison (much like Bill Gates) knew something Tesla was not familiar with...capitalism. So, in the end we watch a man of miracles die in poverty simply because he didn't know how to manipulate the business world. Edison got WAAAAYYYYY too much credit for stuff that he NEVER invented. He simply knew how to steal the patents. I have to question the authenticity of a man who wa
  19. All I can say is this: I tend to see too much over-protectiveness in such threads. You are right, this is not the same world it was 20 years ago, but I can personally say I have seen changes for the BETTER, compared to what we did as kids. If you allow yourself to be "boxed in" by fear, then not only are you losing a portion of your own life, but you are going to alienate your kids. It's easy to do, I know. Then I have to think back to a time..when I was a kid. When I compare the two, I am comforted that my kids are much better prepared for crazy things than I ever was. Not to mention that tod

    Jeopardy

For some reason, I was looking for an Alex Trebeck comment...?????
  21. You are correct. It would NOT increase consumption, but it would pave a way for drinkers to go buy what they want, TAKE IT HOME, and drink ti there. I just don't want them on the roads.
  22. Most people do.....but it's those people who don't that worry me. Like I said....lost too many friends on account of that law. I don't understand why such laws exist, since they cater to a particular sect of people. Not everyone is religious. This law is sort of a "mandate" to those people who don't observe the sabbath. But that's not my point. I think I made my point clear on my previous post. It creates a scenario in which some folks WILL go elsewhere to drink...then they have to DRIVE back home. The whole law incites a driving hazard, to some extent. As long as alcohol is legal to sell, and
  23. This just blew my mind when I saw it.....are we talking homes on in the back behind Aiken Grading Co.???
  24. Scott's Turf-Vac 2 6.0 HP B&S I/C engine (OHV design....very sweet!) 22" cut, Mulcher/Bagger Approx. 10 yrs. old, but NEVER been used. Never had oil in it, or ever cranked. In its day, this retailed for $300. I am asking $180 cash. This is a DEAL!!! Glenn 678-315-8794 (If it would help, I would be glad to fill it up and inspect it prior to selling it)...your choice. First come, first serve. Note: The brand name Scott's MOWERS were bought out by John Deere. And for good reason...they are probably the best built push mowers on the market....only now they're not
  25. Being raised in church all my life, and continuing to play piano in the church for over 30 years, I can sum it up pretty easy. Most are from an older generation, so to them it's a law of "respect" for the Sabbath, or Sunday....although in Judaism it's on Saturday....whatever, it's all based on the Roman Calendar...tit-for-tat. Most of the people I am surrounded by are older than me, and I'm almost 46. I see their point, however, I also think it's very antiquated as well. Having a couple of teenage daughters, and being rather "old" for a father (in the sense we are used to) I have learned
