  1. As I see it the law is dead. They can require people to have ins. and if not there will be a tax if you do not have ins. BUT there is not fine if you do not pay the tax, it has no teeth.
  2. Hi Pubby, sorry I do not get to post or even check out this site much. I travel alot and really don't get on the internet very much. I will try with the election to keep up with what is going on. I believe that everyone should make an educated decision when you vote. You know me and I hope you know that I am a fair person. There are no signs in my front yard for anyone at this time.
  3. You are right I was on the school board with Paulette, but you must not think much of me if you would think I would go that low. I really do not know anything about Mrs. Morrison and wanted to clear up some things I had heard. Thanks Surepip for clearing up my question. Just because you work with someone does not mean you agree with them or what they do. I make my own mind up.
  4. Being that there was a monitor on this bus, the student may be special needs, that means that nothing will be done to them. I am not saying that being special needs is a get out of jail free card, but close. It is really hard to punish special needs students.
  5. As stated before, I do not have hours to go thru old post. Was just hoping someone could give me some answers.
  6. I stay really busy and have just started looking a P.com again. I only check it every once in a while. I guess I have miss any post on these subjects. There are days and sometimes weeks where I do not turn my computer on.
  7. Did not want to go thru all the post on her so here goes. I was told that her husband has a law suite against Paulding county. Is this true? Could this cause a conflict? I have never met her and just want to know more before I decide who to vote for.
  8. These bullies show how well their parents have raised them. Respect starts at home.!!!
  9. Sounds like someone who is willing to work to jobs to support his family. Most county govt. jobs do not pay that great and if you want your family to have those special things in life you have to work harder, like two jobs. People wonder why people who are running for office do not like to post on this site, well when posters will not give them a chance with out bashing them I for one understand.
  10. Sorry I left out a few words. It should of stated [if you do not vote you do not have the right to gripe] Sorry I stated it wrong I was just upset when I posted
  11. People who do not VOTE have not right to GRIPE. By not voting you agree with majority. If you do not agree with the type of people who are running then shut your mouth and run. Have the balls to stand up for what you believe in and make a difference. I am so tired of people who want to whine and do nothing.
  12. This is a great web site and I hope everyone who checks it out will adopt someone. What a great way to show our support. Our family is going to adopt a Marine.
  13. The state has cut back funding to clean up along side our highways, If this group wants to claim a mile and keep it clean, what is the big deal. I thought that everyone has the right in this country to believe what they wanted. I may not agree with what the KKK stands for but I stand for their right to stand up for what they believe in. The state has said that they may just stop the adopt program so as this group can not do what other groups have done in the past. Well let's just throw out the baby with the bath water.
  14. Teens may learn by experiences but I hope you or your family is not effected while they learn. I am so tired of seeing people on the news saying that the teen who just killed someone while driving drunk, or who shot someone at a party was a good kid. As I have stated Good Kids are just that good. I have two grown sons and I know that they are not perfect but I also know that they are the kind of person who steps up when they see things that are unjust. Because, they have. So many kids today have no respect not only for other peoples property but for life in general. I will never understand wh
  15. On Memorial weekend our house in Hiram had items taken from all around the house [we were robbed]. Now my son's house off on the other side of Dallas was broken into. The house is empty because of repairs from the storm that hit that area. The house next to them was also hit for the second time in 2 weeks. The ones doing all this are teenagers, how do I know this is simple. At one of the houses the drank beer that was in the basement and played a table ball game then took a bow and shot at a target they made. They took the bow and arrows along with other items not taken the week before. At my
  16. The bell was really cool, it was a old farm bell that we had for over 25 years. I hope the crook dropped it on his foot, because it is really heavy.
  17. We live on Cleburne Pkwy in Hiram area, Our son checked the recycling spots in the county and they had not seen any of the stuff. Talking about big dogs, try a 140lb Rotty.
  18. This weekend someone decided to take items from our yard. We were lucky that they did not break in the house. They took a cast iron bell we have had on a pole at our side door for 20 years, they took a battery charger and a bike from the front porch. They took metal plant stands and anything metal I guess to recycle. The people down the street said a man on a red scooter bike had come thru the area asking if anyone had any metal they wanted to get rid of. We call the police and they said make a list and bring it to the station. Guess we will do that today. They had better not come back and b
  19. Our son has a house in Allen Creek Sub. of Homer Crochran Rd. and there has been many homes hit. Some with roofs off one with the whole back side blown off. It is really bad. If anyone knows of any damage in Hiram let us know. Our house is on Clebure Pkwy and we are out of town.
  20. Let us all remember that day in history. The attack on Pearl Harbor a day that changed the way we looked at the world. Please say a prayer for all the families who lost loved ones. I had a change a few years ago to visit Peal Harbor and the amount of reverence there was unreal. The thought of all those people who had died still effect me today. That day woke up our country at that time in history. But then we forgot. It took the Twin Towers to make us understand that again. We may be one of the strongest countries in the world but we are still vulnerable to attack. When we forget our history
  21. Ch 2 said that it just passed over Roberts Elm. Hope everyone is ok.
  22. The ch 2 just said that Roberts Elm. is right in path of tornado
  23. When they say he was with the school board it means that he has worked for the system for 10 years. He could have been anything from a teacher to a coach. How sad for his family.
  24. I have the blue that you want but it is in north ga. where I am in an antique mall. I have the large bowl, small bowls and dinner ware. I will try and take some pictures and send them to you. Is the green you are looking for is a dark blue/green in the sandwich pattern I will look for some of that too. I sold Tiara in the 70's and have always like most of it.
  25. This problems is why I only use high grade gas in my motorcycle, after having the carbs cleaned out [again] the repair shop said ethanol was causing my problems.
