    Ford is American and Toyota is definitely Japanese. That includes the Toyota Lexus - very Japanese.

    What? American cars stay with the same basic platform for years - e.g. Ford Crown Vic. Can't afford an annual redesign. Fiesta is built in Mexico; Focus is built in Detroit.

    How many Fords are built in Japan? Yes, I will buy the Ford over anything Japanese. I have never bought nor will I ever buy a Japanese built vehicle.
