The reason I have my jeep is because a co-worker told his teenage son to NEVER drive if drinking; call home, and we will come get you. If you ever do; you will lose your license AND your car. I love that jeep and respect that Dad for following through. Parents DO have control if they choose to.

I am curious. How many parents don't know?

This was another reason why my daughter waited until almost 18 to drive. We lived by Sprayberry HS and the news was devastating. -

I told my daughter that just the slightest loss of attention can be deadly. You might reach over to switch the radio station or grab a piece of gum: That small act could cause you to just hit the stones on the side of the road OR hit a mailbox OR hit a mother walking her baby. Small little accidents and deadly accidents are often caused by the same little mistake.

Thank goodness those days are long gone for me; but grandkids are coming up now! When my youngest got her license, it wasn't a law; BUT it was a law at our house. She was not permitted to have friends ride with her until we gave approval. But a little funny story. One of her best friends was the daughter of a juvenile court judge. Right after judge's daughter got license, she picked up my daughter while parents are working and they got pulled over for something. I think it was a very minor offense, but judge's daughter was in a panic like you cannot believe. And my daughter a -
Sooooo many crafts!!! You name it; it was there. One thing I would like to see more of is home baked goods Lots of hair bows! Biggest food sellers - that huge plate of fries and the funnel cakes; they ran out of turkey legs; apple dumplings were incredible! We had a wonderful time. Weather was perfect. A great family day!

I do not think ppl renting homes are bad. I think that is a fine option for some folks. I guess it bothers me that large companies buy up the houses just for the purpose of becoming the largest rental company.
-
I guess I don't understand why we would need more rental homes! Why rent when there are honest, hard working families who want to own a home? At least all the comments help me realize we are not alone. Guess we can only keep trying; but it is a hard road.

A family member wants to move to Paulding. This week they have sent a list to their realtor to view 8 houses each time. Within 24 hours, 6 houses on each list were gone. There is a big company buying up houses for cash hoping to be the biggest home rental company in the US. They have been searching since May. Many, many, many of the ones that are empty have been looted of copper piping and electrical overhead lights, etc. You can't do an inspection because there is no electric or water in most; and I DO mean most. The banks don't want to put money in them to repair or even figu

Maybe it differs by county? The person I knew lived in Fulton I found this: Moving Out of Your Parents' House in GA the legal age of majority in Georgia is eighteen (18). Georgia Code Title 39, Chapter 1, Article 1. A child (anyone under the age of 18) cannot just move out from their parent(s) home. The parent(s) are responsible for the child till that child reaches 18. You can leave your parents' house without their permission when you reach the age of 18, or they can kick you out. You cannot leave before you reach 18, although there are a few exceptions. Exceptions to this

no because parent is still legally responsible for what the child does. Police can bring home or take to juvenile. Court can get involved. Counseling could be enforced. This happened someone I know.

I worked for a spice company for 19 years. Most lose flavor after 6 months; but I still continue to use them

The one person I know of (through a friend) lives there and says main. I always said mine (also thinking of the German pronunciation). This has been so funny. I remain as confused as ever.
-
LOL!!! This has really helped a lot!! Thanks.

Anyone know? I think it is mine but heard it pronounced main. TIA
