How was the book compaired to the show other than the sex? Like Twilight, the book is so much better than the movie. (Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie too.) Oh, and I don't have teenagers anymore so I don't have to worry about the sex.

So now that I have bought the first season (it was still on sale at Target yesterday for about $33 but it didn't have a sale sign.) and watched the first 2 episodes, I have a question. For those who have watched the show and have read the books is the show the same as the books or would I still enjoy the books too? I am hooked on the show. I would not let my teenagers watch it. Too much sex and not the "love" kind.

Well, we lucked out and had the first show recorded earlier today. We just didn't know it! Daughter is watching first show and recording second as I type! I hope the mods will close this for me. Oh, and I have Directv so no on demand. Thanks!

Prayers for all of your family. I know your heart is breaking. My son goes back to Iraq tomorrow after 2 weeks of R & R. My grandaughter's father also leaves tomorrow for his first tour in Afganastan.

So I just got HBO today and my oldest daughter has been visiting for a couple of weeks. She loves True Blood and has watched the first season. She missed the second season's first show. My question is: When will HBO rerun the second season's first show? I am planning on buying the first season tomorrow (if I can find it) so I can start watching. Thanks!

This little guy was in our pool this morning. He's a ring neck snake and as you can see my grandaughter loved him!

The owners mannual and the people at Garmin said if you leave it in a hot car it will ruin the battery. I am also worried about it being stolen.

How do you charge your GPS. I have a new Garmin and bought one for my daughter. We aren't in the car long enough to get them fully charge. (We need to go on another Road Trip! ) My daughter bought a car charger adapter that she can plug into the wall socket and charge the GPS. I'm not sure if that is a safe thing to do for the Garmins. Advice and thoughts please? Also, talked to a lady at the store who was buying a GPS. She said it was replacing the one she kept leaving in the car and it ruined it. I take mine out at every stop! Thanks!

Years ago a house was under foreclosure next door to us. The grass was so high that my hubby moved it with our lawnmower. There was something in the grass that damaged our mower so he vowed never to do that again. We did call the marshall and he came out. I don't remember what happen because I'm old and it was about 15 years ago! None of the neighbors were asked to help take care of the yard and no one was hired to do so. It was just plan deserted when the family moved.

Have any of you used the [1-800-GOOG-411] number for information - restaurant numbers things like that? I got an email from a friend that says it's free (other than yr regular minutes you use.) Just wondering if anyone else has used this and if so is it free? My cell service provider charges $1.79 for each 411 call thur them.

Denise, When I read your words here my heart filled and I knew God is carrying you and your family thru this. Footprints in the Sand has never shined thru to me more than it is right now. My family knew Ryan and his family well. We attended church with him and my daughter also went to school with him. They graduated together. When I called to tell her all she could do was cry and say he was her buddy. Prayers for father, brother and all the family.

Dan Seals was the brother of Jim Seals who was part of Seals and Crofts. Dan Seals was part of England Dan and John Ford Coley. Their hits where I'd Really Like To See You Tonight, Nights Are Forever, and Love Is The Answer. Dan Seals died of complication of Cancer.

Yummy! I had already planned on coming for lunch tomorrow before I knew about the special. Can't wait!
