  1. I live off of Ridge Road and for a couple of months, someone was going into vehicles left unlocked at night. They didn't usually take anything, just went through the glove box and consoles. Several vehicles in our neighborhood were done that way, ours included.

A 17-year-old subject by the last name of Hembree was caught and charged with quite a few counts of entering auto. There was some reference that there were others invovled.

  2. I think it would be a great idea if they are going to have some good bands like Cowboys. I don't "party" but every now and then my husband and I like to have a couple of drinks and listen to good music. We used to go to Cowboys but it is too far. We like to frequent local businesses and give our money back to the county we live in. As long as it is a nice place and not a "dive", it would be fine with me.

I hate that they took the Publix out. That was the best business to be there.

  3. That would be great! I have a chocolate lab that's almost 9 months old and acts like a toddler because that's how we treat him. He can do a few tricks but hasn't calmed down yet. We're trying to teach him not to react like a lunatic everytime he sees someone new.

He's a big baby and loves all other animals (yes, he loves our cat and the cat loves him) and all people.

We took him to the event at Paulding Meadows and he loved it.

  4. The Dallas News Era actually published a piece of news. A a 17-year-old has beem charged with 27 counts regarding the car break-ins in the Poole Bridge Road area. His last name is Hembree. The article said there might possibly be more arrests.

I'm glad to know they got him. I hope they get the rest of his buddies!! There were no details given as to how he was caught. He was brought in for questioning and finally confessed.

  5. Ms. Pratt:

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I don't care how it happened or why it happened, whether he was intoxicated or not. It doesn't matter. You have lost your son and I pray for him and your family. I have two daughters, 22 and 19. One lives in Marietta and one in Duluth. Everytime I hear of an accident anywhere near where they live, I call them to make sure they are ok. Young people make mistakes. We all have made them. We learn from those mistakes.

I know that everyone here on PC.com is praying for your family and I don't think anyone meant any harm when the picture was posted. If that picture opens the eyes of anyone, young or old, and helps them to be more careful driving, then it was worth being posted. I'm sorry that it upset you that the picture was posted. I'm sure it would have upset me, too, had it been my child.

Please trust in God. Taylor is with him now. Even thought it is hard, there is a reason for everything. Try to stay strong and remember the good things about your son.

  6. I was on my way to a business meeting in Douglasville yesterday when I got caught up in the traffic. Of course, I was afraid I would be late to my meeting, but when I saw all thepeople with their signs, I figured it out. I didn't care then if I was late or not!!

You and all the families left behind will be in my prayers, as well as the soldiers who will be going to Iraq.

  7. I honestly have to say this was the best Christmas I've had in several years. The kids were both here for the whole day. Everybody eat way too much, laughed a lot, and just loved each other!!!

My favorite gifts are my watch and my Eeyore slippers from my husband, my ring from my oldest daughter, and my washer/dryer from my youngest daughter.

I did not get any bad gifts this year. I had a VERY blessed Christmas.

Oh--and my mother-in-law got me the Thomas Kinkade ornament collection!
