  1. With Hwy 61 being a "state" highway, Paulding County can't make that decision, if I am not mistaken. Same issue with a traffic light at the New Georgia 4 way stop.
  2. I thought school started back tomorrow???? In Paulding Co, anyway.
  3. This is my FAVORITE place to eat!!!! I love the red pepper relish (appetizer type item) and the Cabbage Casserole and Acorn Squash (both are lunch items). My Dinner favorites are Potatoes au Gratin, Fordhook Beans and the Tomatoes and Onions. All the meats are great except for the sugar cured ham.....YUK!!!! I have never liked that stuff. But, I love to visit this place. We went to the petting Zoo once, it was pretty cool.

  5. When posts are moved to another forum, why is the original poster NOT notified??? This should be standard procedure.
  6. A Mini Cooper Truck, we have been looking for a truck for a while and this may be the one! Wouldn't it be cool to drive one of these around town or zooming down the highway??? They are toooo cute!
  7. It's been down for over 1 1/2 months and It doesn't surprise!! When I clicked on "select", everything for the last 10 yrs came up under my name. OK, now I see what you are referring to. It does NOT give all the property info as it did before. Like the demographics, the breakdown of the taxes and the address of the owner, (if different from the actual property location) You know........"change" is NOT always good, Obama is proof of this!!! Sory, I just couldn't help myself!!!
  8. I have been cleaning house and giving "Taylor's PALS" a lot of the un-needed and un-wanted items I had and one item in particular was a gardening apron. I am NOT a green thumb person and not enough to be using an apron with 3 or 4 pockets that holds small hand tools anyway, I got a pm from Reading Rules about that gardening apron, please read below....................and you'll see why this put a smile on my face and a warm spot in my heart. I want to tell you about the person that bought your tool apron.. she's in a wheelchair and was THRILLED to find it. She likes to garden but drops h
  9. It doesn't matter whose dog or child it was, it still touched my heart, Thank You for sharing.
  10. Could you be a little more specific?? What's the nearest crossroad? Hwy 278 goes a looooong way! tia
  11. "IF" you can get to the bread store in Villa Rica, when they open in the moirning (9 am), they have a flat of hamburger buns for $1 or $2, it has about 24 buns to a flat. But, you have to get there when they open!!!!! Hot dog buns do NOT come like that, but they usually have 8 ct and 16 ct.
  12. Remember ......IF, it sounds too good to be true.....It probably is!!!! Stay away from the ones who ask for money up front!!!! Good Luck. I just don't understand people now-a-days, just yesterday another woman was duped on some money orders and was told to take them to her bank, cash them and keep some of the money for herself and send the rest, by Western Union, to so and so in some other country. And she "believed" it to be true and honest. I just don't understand, why people don't use common sense!!! This is what I get when I click on the link: Forbidde
  13. It usually takes 2 days for mail to arrive from Atlanta. Be packing because, from what I've heard, if you aren't out, the Marshall's or Sheriff's Office will put your stuff on the curb. You don't want to take that chance!!! Good Luck, I hope you find something soon. There is a Doublewide duplex, on 61 south, just past Lawrence Junction Mobile Home Park. It's on the left side of the hwy.
  14. Are you talking about "Reddi Whip" type stuff, in the can?? That stuff won't hold up like cool whipp or whipped topping!!! jmho
  15. We have an old washer that you can have, it just needs a water pump, I think!!! Anyway, It was a good washer but, if you can get it fixed, it will be cheaper than buying one!! The water pump is about $50. It's not that hard to replace, I have replaced one "myself" back in 1995. I really want it gone!!!!!!!! Mrs G
  16. I call this a "Punch Bowl Cake" anyway....................... 1-Box White Cake Mix (bake as directed & cool) 1-24 oz container of frozen strawberries in syrup (Private Selection Brand from Kroger is best!!) 1-regular size can of Kroger brand crushed pineapples (pour out 1/2 the juice) 1-16 oz container of Kroger brand Whipped Topping 1-small package of slivered Almonds You bake a white cake as directed on the package and let it cool. Crumble up the first layer of cake and put in a big bowl/dish or do like I do sometimes, and put it in one of those punch bowls that you
  17. We ahd found a 9' tree from Lowe's about 7 yrs ago and it got to be too much to decorate it and I gave it to my daughter in 06. I was "still" buying decorations for it when I gave it to her. It seemed no matter how much I bought and put on it, it still looked bare. This year I am getting a real tree, first one in 20? yrs.
  18. We have both, the sledge hammer AND the big magnet. I will use both, the magnet first and then the hammer. Thanks for all your suggestions and advice.
  19. I think it's only the Cuban Cigars that's illegal, not positive, though. Someone on here will correct me if I am wrong!!
  20. That's the whole point in destroying the hard drive because, neither computer is operable. They won't hit a lick!!!
  21. Hubby says I don't have a sense of humor but, your comment WAS funny!!!!!!
  22. I know the computer companies can do the sweep thinig but, I'm NOT going to pay for someone to "sweep" or whatever you call it, the hard drive clean. I've dismantled the computer and intend on busting the harddrives into 1,000's of teeny tiny little pieces. It will be ok to trash then, won't it?????
