  1. I must confess. In every situation where I have been pulled over for speeding, I have been speeding.
  2. I love fruits and veggies. The only exception is avocados - bleck! I haven't found a decent peach this year - even the ones from the Dekalb Farmers Market were flavorless. And, watermelons have to have seeds in them if you want one with decent flavor.
  3. We have yet to get a bakery in Paulding that would even tempt me to stop driving to McEntyre's in Smyrna.
  4. I'm going with Mei Lan's grow up theory. Everyone needs to grow up.
  5. This is civil litigation, the standards are different. First and foremorst, there are no allegations that I know of that any party received unjust enrichment from another source. If the allegations were credible and were out there (even if not in the original complaint), you would not use the standards of probable cause. You would need to be able to show that any documents would lead to the discovery of admissible evidence. If the parties were to dispute the need for the documents, you would file a motion to compel the production or a motion to quash the subpoena and the judge would decide
  6. So would a Request to Produce Documents during the discovery phase. Or a subpoena to obtain copies of their banking records. I know that hacking into a computer or breaking into someone's house sounds so much more exciting, but this isn't a television show (it's what happens in real litigation cases). jsmh
  7. Really? How many times do I have to tell you that it's "Blush" and "Periwinkle" - NOT pink and blue.... Good grief... By the way, tell the wife that I'm glad she joined us, I knew she would fit right in!!!
  8. I think you are the first person to ever call me naive... hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  9. Recall speeches as you will, but as I looked at the list of attorneys and law firms that you are implying might resort to something so low, I am forced to believe that you know absolutely nothing about how "high dollar" firms operate.
  10. I was likely sitting in my office at a high dollar law firm. Big firms take their reputations very seriously. While they may be getting their fees paid by someone like Delta, they would not stoop to something so low as to try to hack into bank accounts or steal computers - this case isn't worth what a stupid act of theft would cause to their reputations or their abilities to practice law.
  11. As someone who works for one of those high dollar law firms, I can tell you that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I'm sorry, but your theory is just beyond the stupid.
  12. It doesn't change my views on carrying either. It does, however, change my view on taking my daughter to ride her bike on the trail.
  13. Or it could have been that the attacker was scared off by someone or something and left her there. Praying for this woman.
  14. Okay, I'm slow today, but I just got the title of the post... "Spread sheets for sex." Duh, of course we spread the sheets first. Although there have been occasions when it just wasn't thought about.
  15. I love it! Being able to make this world smile one last time on your way to glory (or wherever you end up) is an amazing gift!
  16. I do pass things to my princess in the back seat, eat something while I'm on the run, use my bluetooth to call folks... But I don't text and drive so I'm good... lol
  17. Sam's or Costco is the best place to buy sheets. They generally have 800 or 1000 count sheets that are wonderful. The higher the thread count, the smoother the sheet. One warning though, after you sleep on them regularly, you WILL NOT buy those cheap sheets again.
  18. The plank in my eye is too big to comment on those folks. There are times when I drive too fast. There are laws against that, but I (and most of us) still do it.
  19. I pay using Bank of America's bill pay feature and it works well for me - it clears my account within 3-4 days. But, keep in mind that that when you pay online or over the phone using a credit card, the water dept. has to pay a percentage of that amount back to the credit card company. So, in my mind, a charge to the customer would be appropriate.
  20. This reminds me, what happened to the stories about employers making their heftier employees pay more for insurance than the skinny folks? Could it be that they had to raise everyone's rates because of the "Affordable" Care Act?
  21. Why shouldn't an employer be able to decide what benefits that it wants to provide to its employees? It seems as if the ACA and these mandates are continually taking the decision-making process out of the employer's hands and putting it into the hands of the government. What is the point of owning a business if you can't be your own boss?
  22. I'm glad to see that Surepip is on the mend. I'm still praying!
  23. The Peninsula Grill is amazing. There is also a Noisy Oyster downtown - I love their shrimp and okra gumbo!!
  24. We've lived in Paulding for 22 years and I've only been called once. There were so many of us there, I was dismissed on the first day and never had to go back.
