My son sent a text- outside "talk about guns, bomb threat- will you pick me up?" I told him he was safe since the school had already been evacuated and police had been seen on the premises. Two of his friends got checked out by their parents . Anyways, school was back in session shortly. I sent him a text to check in and he replied he was eating lunch. If it was a "drill" they sure do a lot of them at this particular HS. Last year there were several occasions in which the school was evacuated, police called, etc. I recall a handful of them being dismissed as "drills". Can't they do th

Ridge & Seals rd. is where a PCSO lost his life off duty over a year ago. If no emergency, maybe a memorial tribute? There used to be a beautiful cross there too before it went missing......

I don't need college when all the education I need is available on PCom! Yes, nosy neighbor- but I do like to know what's going on in the area where I live. It was just so out of the ordinary for around here I had to ask!

He's a mechanic by trade in his "day job" but he does not operate a "shop" out of his home. Thank you for the info! Are you able to purchase it at a supply store?
-
There are certainly everyday uses for it. It's just not everyday you see a pick up cruise through the neighborhood with a 50 gal drum in the back bearing a flammable placard and then proceed into his garage. Can ordinary Joe buy that and bring it home? Just a bit nervous to have that quantity of combustible/ flammable material stored so close to my home.

Im curious as to why someone would need a 50 gallon drum of mineral spirits in their garage. He's a mechanic and I googled it to find that it could be used for cleaning engine parts, making a high octane fuel additive or a meth lab! The drum carries a flammable placard- so really- any thoughts? It was delivered in the back of his pick up truck Yes I'm being nosey, but its very flammable!

Great ideas so far everyone! We just recently paid off all credit cards and are trying to minimize everything else we can! I like all of the ideas above.... someone's gonna be very busy when he gets home (ahem: Mr. Maltese)

With so many choices now for phone, cable, internet, car/ home insurance, utilities, etc. I think it would be wonderful if all would post in here what great advice they may have for bundling/saving/ budgeting. Suggestions for savings, hidden promos we could all take advantage of? I could lose my mind comparing all of the different plans available these days- what GREAT savings have you found? Best way to consolidate bills but still get good service?

The New GA Library usually has several copies of both local papers in the lobby.

My neighbor has a nasty stagnant pool that is a horrible breeding ground for mosquitoes. No ordinance in Paulding about that either! Live in a culdesace and am appalled at the disrespect so many neighbors are teaching their children. Toys left everywhere, water & gatorade bottles, trash galore. Makes my street look gross!

Prayers said.

I need a turtle! Maybe another one too-----be back in a few!

I have been to the web-site and am a little confused- Carer Center, One stop, where do I go to file my initial claim? The main office in Rome? Any advice for this process?
-
Click above where you see the message for the list of bus stops in your area- My street address is 248 but the bus stop is at 246 so when I put in my address I had the same message. And, check out the Paulding Co Schools website- you can link to your school's site and get the iof you need. I don't have any kids in ES so I can't help with details there.....

Blah in my opinion- nothing special.
