  1. Yeah, that's pretty much me, except it's the same ol malaise this year, too. I'm glad that it's different for you this time!

I had divorced parents. They remarried. That makes 4 families in two days...not counting the fact that each parent has 2 families. Fighting, me stuck in the middle, 2am car rides on Christmas eve to go from one parent to the other.... :nea: No thanks.

Not any easier now that I'm an adult either - they all want to see HR. <_<

  2. I felt that way my whole life - always hated Christmas. Just the month of December in general sucked, because it was leading up to Christmas. Hate the music, hate the decorations...just the first hint of 'jingle bells' or a holly leaf and I'm all  :bad: 80 . Even as a child, just absolutely hated everything about it.

This year is different, for some reason.

  3. I don't mind Xmas. I just prefer it to start in Dec, not before I have had my Thanksgiving ham.

I's be willing to bet $$ that if the TSO concert had been mid-December rather than mid-November, I would have spent the first part of the Christmas season going :angry2: at every Christmas song and decoration sighting. :pardon:

  4. In my opinion, the fact that police are grossly underpaid for risking their lives completely justifies part time work. So it is a little perk for them that helps them financially. I Would you rather let them have the chance to help boost their pay and in return lose some great brave men who protect us everyday. Thanks to your husband for what he does. ;)

Also, the simple fact that those stores are willing to pay for that help tells me they value the saftey of their customers, That is good.

    And employees.

LGM <--- SO happy to finally not be working retail at Christmas.

  5. I have never wore maternity clothes .. For pants I wore stretchy pants and baby doll tops. The type that flare out .. and yes I still have most of them .. they still fit :D

That sounds like me. I wore Juniors hip huggers that went below my belly, so I can wear some of the jeans from the first trimester (of course, I gained a good 30lbs my first trimester  ). For shirts I wore babydoll tops and still wear a few.

I had one dress that was a black velvet spaghetti strapped thing with a tie in the back - like a babydoll but not. I've had it since I was 16 - wore it then, through the pregnancy, and still wear it now.

  6. Even more reason to breastfeed, thats what babies and breast are made for anyway! I am so glad we breastfeed. :D

    I concur. ^_^

Keep in mind though, many mom's can't breastfeed - latching issues or not producing enough, etc. etc.

I breastfed until the Dr put me on a medication that dried me up in in 48 hours. <_< Tried, and tried, and tried...wasn't happening after that.
