i think it has something to do with high expectations and anticlimactic results.
holidays and sex. always better to anticipate them than to actually have them.

Yeah, that's pretty much me, except it's the same ol malaise this year, too. I'm glad that it's different for you this time!
I had divorced parents. They remarried. That makes 4 families in two days...not counting the fact that each parent has 2 families. Fighting, me stuck in the middle, 2am car rides on Christmas eve to go from one parent to the other.... No thanks.
Not any easier now that I'm an adult either - they all want to see HR.

My mom's did the same thing when she used hers for the first time. She (and the house) survived. I'm not sure if she ever used it again, though.

I felt that way my whole life - always hated Christmas. Just the month of December in general sucked, because it was leading up to Christmas. Hate the music, hate the decorations...just the first hint of 'jingle bells' or a holly leaf and I'm all 80 . Even as a child, just absolutely hated everything about it.
This year is different, for some reason.

Hmmm....get up bright an early, head to my sister's house to go through a bunch of clothes, go home and clean.

I'm ok with just two arms...but they need to invent a 36 hour day.
We you Cheffy.

Oh Holy Night, sung by John Berry will make anyone a softy.
Try again.
I prefer upbeat Christmas music, or really powerful Christmas music - like this one:

I don't mind Xmas. I just prefer it to start in Dec, not before I have had my Thanksgiving ham.
I's be willing to bet $$ that if the TSO concert had been mid-December rather than mid-November, I would have spent the first part of the Christmas season going at every Christmas song and decoration sighting.

Oh for the love of God. You? You and LGM. You two were my last hope. Thanks God that 100.5 and 96.1 don't play xmas music.
Remember me last year? I posted the faces in every single Christmas thread.
HATE Christmas. This year is different for some reason.
Maybe I'll get sick of it here soon.

I started with Trans Siberian Orchestra christmas music two weeks ago - it really put me in the Christmas mood, when I'm normally anti anything Christmas.
I've had Christmas music on Pandora ever since.

In my opinion, the fact that police are grossly underpaid for risking their lives completely justifies part time work. So it is a little perk for them that helps them financially. I Would you rather let them have the chance to help boost their pay and in return lose some great brave men who protect us everyday. Thanks to your husband for what he does.
Also, the simple fact that those stores are willing to pay for that help tells me they value the saftey of their customers, That is good.
And employees.
LGM <--- SO happy to finally not be working retail at Christmas.

that link takes you back to the original discussion which was "he said/she said" etc, but did anyone ever find out exactly what occured from the police or anything?
Pubby said he was going to talk to Dallas PD today - he'll probably do a story on it later.

I'm so glad I told you about p.com.

I wrecked my car at the end of July this year... That's when I quit and started looking for a new job.
Hey, hey!
Come to join in the drunken madness?
Yup...but I'm sober

Why are there 73 females listed but only 50 something N/A's under the guys questions?
I thought the same thing.

I have never wore maternity clothes .. For pants I wore stretchy pants and baby doll tops. The type that flare out .. and yes I still have most of them .. they still fit
That sounds like me. I wore Juniors hip huggers that went below my belly, so I can wear some of the jeans from the first trimester (of course, I gained a good 30lbs my first trimester ). For shirts I wore babydoll tops and still wear a few.
I had one dress that was a black velvet spaghetti strapped thing with a tie in the back - like a babydoll but not. I've had it since I was 16 - wore it then, through the pregnancy, and still wear it now.

Even more reason to breastfeed, thats what babies and breast are made for anyway! I am so glad we breastfeed.
I concur.
Keep in mind though, many mom's can't breastfeed - latching issues or not producing enough, etc. etc.
I breastfed until the Dr put me on a medication that dried me up in in 48 hours. Tried, and tried, and tried...wasn't happening after that.

HR is getting the Dora Talking House and a Littlest Pet Shop playset - most of the rest will come from family...many of them are getting her some of the add-ons to the Talking House and the playset.
