I can not imagine not having a cell phone. Mine goes everywhere with me and I spaz when I do happen to leave it at home.

Paulding County also has a very special 13 year old young man with CP that was asked to roll out their first ball earlier this week . I have been one of the teachers in this county that have had the honor of teaching this young man and watching him beat the odds by doing things that dr.s said he would never do...walk, talk, and this past year even write to an extent. This county truly has a lot to be proud of . Thanks Paulding Bowling Lanes and all of the others have have helped to make this event possible.

I am Definitely a texter. I love being able to carry on multiple conversations at the same time and it all falls under my unlimited texts fees. I also like the fact that others can't hear what I'm saying when I text. Besides, when I forget something that someone has told me, often I just go back to my in or out box and find it .

Both of my kids have had to have tubes in their ears. We used different type of plugs. The latest kind was stuff that looks very much like silly putty and we put a special head band (one of the other posters mentioned the exact name) over their ears. I would think that one of the plastic swim caps would also work to help keep the plugs in the ears. In a pinch, I have used cotton balls coated in vaseline as plugs. Have you contact your child's ENT about this question?

Actually, how we are paid depend greatly on our position. The majority of us are salaried. However, if we use more sick days than we have, we get docked for them. I can promise you that this county well gets their money's worth from many many teachers who are paid based on an 8 hour day/40 hour week. I can't remember the last time I put in only 40 hours of work during one week. That is true for most of the teachers I work with. There is talk about furloughing us at least a few days.

I lost my mom almost 9 months ago. I know all to well the pain you are feeling and the fear you have of your mom being taken advantage of. My dad and I have talked about him having someone to go out to dinner with and maybe a movie from time to time. He was scared I would be upset about it. I won't deny that the first time it actually happens, it will be hard, but I want my dad to be happy. The fact is, I have a career, 2 young kids, and a husband. I don't have the time to give my dad like he needs and he shouldn't have to spend the rest of his life lonely. He just turned 69 years old...

The one resturant that I know of that is open in the evenings is the BBQ place across from the hospital. If the current restruant owners will take notice...they are open til 8/9ish and they are open on Sat. I rarely go in there when they are empty.

I was not even aware that there was a new resturant in downtown Dallas and I go through there 5 mornings a week. I will have to try them and Dixie Dogs out once school gets out. BTW, what are Dixie Dogs hours?

There is a Huge yard sale in the parking lot of Stars and Strikes. This is really much more to this than a typical yard sale. You can e mail Hi Ho Silver and he can tell you more about that.
