I hear it all the time - "it's not in my family"... if not, you are not safe from breast cancer. Unlike some other cancers which have stronger genetic traits, breast cancer strikes more often in those with no history. I do have a history, however my mom was an isolated case in her family. My grandmother and aunt were on my dad's side... it is now known a gene can travel from the dad as well as the mom. But the point is this - if you're of age, get your mammograms on a regular basis. And learn to do a self-check. Self-checks should be done on a monthly basis. If you're unsure, feel free to drop

Actually, a friend in CA sent us one that was built by a vendor specifically for demo - it's coming in this morning by truck... it's not fancy, but does the job. We're hoping to afford a nicer version for the store in the near future - will be in touch -

We're working hard to get our booth ready at the Galleria for the Atlanta Homeshow this Friday, Sat, and Sunday. I can't believe the exhibits - some are literally bringing in cement and building patios right on the floor. There are cooking demonstrations, hot tubs, decks, bars, pools - just a huge variety of products. The show hours are 10-8 on Friday, 10-8 on Saturday and 12-6 on Sunday. Children under 12 are free, seniors over 65 are free, military (active and retired) are free - tickets are normally $10, but you can go to the website and get a coupon for $2 off. Parking is free. I was in surgery at Wellstar Douglas Hospital... I worked as an orthopedic sales rep and had a case with one of my surgeons. We watched on the TV in the dtrs. lounge until the case started, then updated the surgeon as it unfolded on tv. I still remember the sick feeling in my stomach... still a heartache for all those who died that horrible day. They will never be forgotten...

This workshop teaches women how to deal with the effects of treatment - a mini-spa session. Our cosmetologist guides the ladies thru a make-up session, then we talk about headgear and wigs.
