  1. You are assuming they would be using alcoholic beverages....however, a 13 year old cannot purchase alcohol, so an "adult" would have to supply it. Also, perhaps they were going to play soda pong or maybe koolaid pong. Just sayin'!
  2. Thank you so much for posting this. I hope everyone takes a moment to watch it. I have 3 teenagers and two of them go on Tuesday to get their licenses. We will all be watching this together! Everyone...please make good decisions and stay safe this holiday season!
  3. Dr. Anthony White @ Paulding County Chiropractic on East Paulding Drive. Excellent!
  4. Yes, the premiums are the same no matter whether you are classified or certified and no matter how little or how much you make. I too am working for the benefits.
  5. And classified employees, who make very little anyway, will also be paying more and making less. Soon we will be paying the school system to let us work there!
  6. South Paulding won the Superintendent's Cup and the Sportsmanship Cup.
  7. I have ordered from ABC for many years and have never had any problems with them.
  8. I think the best way to learn is to go to games with someone else who knows the game (or watch on TV) and just have them explain everything as it happens. I grew up with 3 brothers playing and watched a lot of games. To me it's easier to learn while you watch.
  9. George Ford Center in Powder Springs. Just had my 30th year class reunion there and it was a very nice facility.
  10. I live in Heritage. I left at 7:30 to take my daughter and her friends to Movies 278. It's almost 9:00 and they are still sitting near the top of our neighborhood. We stopped to ask what was going on but the reporter in the news van wouldn't even turn his head our way.
  11. FYI - The cost of prom is paid by ticket sales.
  12. No, one of the girls has relatives there and they were able to stay in one of their apartments overlooking Central Park, for free!
  13. My daughter went to New York City with 2 friends for her senior trip during spring break. We went to NYC for her 16th birthday and she fell in love with the city, so that was her gift before she goes to college.
  14. South Paulding High School's basketball teams will be having a yard sale and bake sale in front of the Kroger on Ridge Road tomorrow, Saturday beginning at 8:00 am. Please help support Spartans basketball! Stop by and buy something you just can't live without and pick up something yummy to eat, too!
  15. I wanted to thank all of the wonderful people who stopped to help my daughter after her car wreck on Bakers Bridge Road today. She was alone and very scared. So many people stopped and stayed with her until her father and I could get there. Several of them even stayed until after we left for the hospital. Someone gave her a blanket and another man went and bought her water and Ibuprofen. The care and concern shown to her was overwhelming. A special thanks to the woman who stayed with her and called her. She is a little banged up but will be fine. My family and I really appreciate the k
  16. Maybe she has left-over fetal tissue and her body is finally rejecting it.
  17. Wonder if they would feel different if it had been their 13 y/o daughter.
  18. South Paulding High Schools first ever competition cheerleading team took 2nd place in the 4AAAA division of the cheerleading competition today at Woodland High School. Way to go Spartan cheerleaders!

  21. I heard this also happened last night in Canterbury Lane Subdivision off Bakers Bridge Road.
  22. My very good friend was in one of the cars (a Magnum). She suffered a hairline fracture to the sternum, a cracked tooth, burns/scrapes on her face from the airbag and some bruises. She is very sore but is doing okay. Her car will probably be totaled. I don't have any info on the other driver. She was driving a Sebring, also probably totaled. My friend was traveling south on 92 when the other driver turned left in front of her onto Ridge road.
  23. I totally understand his need to leave the flag up. Maybe he could fly a new flag underneath the old one.
