  1. Thank you so much for that offer! I can make it there fine I think, just did not want to go, if for whatever reason, the pharmacy was not open.
  2. Did you go to Kroger? If so, which one? I am in need of a med refill from the Kroger at 278/61..Don't want to go out, but I need to. I have tried calling the pharmacy and it's busy, busy, busy.
  3. This is the first time I have ever expierenced a boil water advisory. Does anyone know about how long this is expected to last? No complaints here, better to be safe, and I have been boiling since yesterday am...just would like to know what to expect? Also, what is your opinions on showers?
  4. mine is on Dallas Hwy too.....I just want him home.
  5. AngelBug- I felt the same way that you did- to me it looked like she ignored him...Hope they got a chance to reconnect!
  6. I think that she did great, but I really liked Victoria Beckham! She was funny and seemed so real- it was funny when she was talking about her adjustment to Beverly Hills
  7. this is the exact posistion I am in. My father died waiting on a transplant, and my brother is on the list waiting for a kidney himself. I offered mine to him, but was rejected by University of Arizona Hospital. I am a match for him, but am not a viable donor due to the chances of something happening to one of my own kidneys or that of one of my sons. My mom was the only other match- yet she is 70 and the cut off is 65. So we wait. My brother is on dyalisis 3x a week, and I pray that he can get the transplant that he needs.
  8. we got the menu in the mail too! Can't wait to try them out, I thought the prices were very reasonable.
  9. I watched this show and cried..My brother still does not have the kidney needed to save his life. He is on the National Registry, but nothing yet. I am so happy for those that get a new chance at life, because I can tell you, they don't have much of one until they get their new organ.
  10. My husband loves Dr. Battle- I have Dr. Tharp- I had NO IDEA that Dr. Battle sees kids! My kids go to Creekside in Douglasville and see Dr. Dauphin, she has been their doctor for years, but I will have to keep Dr. Battle in mind, if we ever decide to change!
  11. As a mom of 2 boys- I would want to know.
  12. thought the EXACT same thing- but the truth always has a way of worming its way out!
  13. I will be honest and tell you that when I watched this a week ago, it really got to me. I would always get grief from my husband about texting while driving, my reply to him was always, I am fine, I can do both. That video was a wake up call for me.
  14. I don't know if I have ever heard of a "free" tree removal service- how would they stay in business?? I can recommend Tree Works Unlimited- Robert Albrittion. He is a good guy!
  15. Well I have had some pretty good vacations- but the very best was the night I got married. San Diego, the most beautiful Presidential Suite I have ever been in....my husband sitting behind me on the huge bed and taking out all of the flowers from my hair. My hair was very long and covered in indivudal flowers..It took him almost an hour, as he did not want to pull and hurt me. there was this other time, when I was 17 years old and spent the summer at Camp Lejune with my sister and her husband
  16. Congrats! You truly are in a perfect posistion to get a fantastic deal on a home! We have seen many new young homeowners move into our Subdivision, that otherwise could not have been able to afford. Sucks for us, as our home values have plummeted, but I must say that I am thrilled with all the new additions to my neighborhood.
  17. Can bananas be tooo old I thought the blacker the better??
  18. hmmm...just got a Nixel email that said to avoid 61 and Paul Aiken for 2 hours due to a traffic accident.
  19. I have 2 kids, and it is a great expense. One thing that I do, is I wait until school starts and then go and hit the stores- I stock up on paper, notebooks, markers, glue sticks, erasers, scissors, crayons, ect...most are 50-75% off, and I put it all in a storage bin. When school supply lists come out, they go into the bin and get what they need Really the only thing I needed to buy for them this year, was a certain size binder.. It is really good of you to do what you did for that child! kudos to you!
  20. Please listen to what she is saying here- it is some wonderful advice. In my 13+ years of marriage, we have had a few layoffs due to the type of work my husband does.(aviation) He was layed off last year, and I will tell you that I have never seen him so down before. He always left me feeling that no matter what, we will be okay. Last year was so different- I guess it was/is the state of the job market, but I was really worried about him. Although he is working now, and his mental attitude is much better, I still worry each and every day. I am praying for you and your husband.
  21. Well, I was married outside in a beautiful gazebo in San Diego, which just so happend to be at my sister's home It was small and very intimate (family only) and it was wonderful...I refused to go into debt over my wedding, nor did I want my parents too. Both of my sisters had the big elaborate weddings, and it cost so much money....Guess what? I am still married, and they are both divorced I don't know how much they cost, but I live right next to the Bullock Event Center, and I have seen several of the weddings there. It is reall nice!
