Back in my day when I was a youngster, my Daddy worked and my Mommy stayed home and took care of the house and raising of myself and brothers. But that was in a time when a family could survive off one paycheck. Sadly in todays world Both parents have to work to make ends meet, or its a one parent household. Just in my opinion the family system is a thing of the past. Latch key kids, with out supervision makes a path to doing pretty much anything they or their peers think of. Happy New Year ya'll while I hope 2015 is better then 2014 I have to stop and remember when things are bad,look for some good,because if you focus on the bad it only gets worse.

I think I remember at one time they were trying to raise money for a marker for those lost in this horrible tragedy . Does anyone have any info on this? I live in New Hope and do wish they had an memorial marker to honor those lost. Prayers sent out for the families that lost loved ones

Every part of the world has traditional foods they eat on New Years. Being I am a Yankee our traditional meal was sour kraut and pork served over mashed potatoes...sounds nasty,but sooooo good. What are your favorite dishes for New Years?
