Apparently the issue comes from the blocking thing and all pms are blocked and presumably set invisible to both parties. I'm guessing but there appears to be some evidence of that, from experiments that have been run. pubby

The point is that while it is great theater, there is no legal standing to the resolution. I mean, it is about as meaningless as passing a resolution saying that all members of the commission, especially the member from post 4, will not say unpleasant things about the current resident of the whitehouse. I know some people who would like to see such a measure passed but even if it did, it would have zero effect because it violates the constitutional rights of the member from post 4. It is called freedom and I think the insurgents need to understand that. pubby PS: I've seen

My problem with the resolution is that it is unconstitutional. It bothers me that the commission insurgents apparently don't think about such things and seem to be drunk with power. There was a way to do what they wanted to do, to a degree, but there is no way under our form of government to restrict constitutional officers speech. The Sheriff doesn't have to come to the commission to ask for local legislation dealing with his sitaution. Neither does the Tax Commissioner, the clerk of the Court .... or the commission chairman. I know you want to do this because you don't like the la

sounds like that is what has happened. I haven't blocked anyone and as an admin, it would silly for me to. More than that, one of the few powers that I do have is that I can't be blocked That said, I am clueless of all the things that happen when you do/are blocked. The board is a good one but I don't know of any 'help file' that would explain this as part of it, I don't think anyone ever complained about losing them. pubby PS: I was curious of who you thought I was so close to? You may or may not be correct.

A couple of things from the evening meeting. First, the effort to fire members of the Airport Authority and IBA was tabled until the February 12 meeting ... literally over the objections of KV Scoggins who had urged the three insurgent members to go ahead and act on the matter. Both Chairman Austin and Post 1 Commissioner Carmichael voted against tabling the matter to the future meeting. The insurgents did pass an ordinance that states that all local legislation has to be presented to the BOC before being submitted to the legislative delegation. That effort passed 3-2 but the realit

This Map Shows Why The F-35 Has Turned Into A Trillion-Dollar Fiasco Why The Pentagon Is Spending So Unbelievably Much On The F-35Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/lockheed-martin-f-35-guide-2014-4?op=1#ixzz3Q4XT9tN1 When you get headlines like this out of a conservative zine like finance.yahoo.com or "the business insider" ... you're in a world of hurt. especially when it doesn't work. pubby

Crossroads... you do know that PMs are not like email. Replies are in the topic themselves, not saved in a 'reply folder' like email. (PMs are organized like topics where there is a statement, a reply, a reply, etc. through time. you can actually have a private topic by inviting up to 99 people to share a particular topic.) I've been nowhere around your PM account but if you want to come by the office, I'll be glad to let you logon and show me what you mean. I suppose there could be a disk-error in the database but usually those cause much more extensive issues. pubby

Any casual observer would look at the posture of our political parties vis-a-vie other nations in the world since 1968 and conclude that the Republicans seek perpetual war and the Democrats don't... they just want to spend money to prepare for the wars the Republicans want to fight. What we've done with military procurement actually shows greater weakness than about anything else we could do. I mean it will take us a two trillion dollars to build the F-35 program and still probably won't work. Given the inherent deficiencies we've developed in procurement, the wisest thing an enemy

Here is the video from the evening meeting. We will add more about what happened after viewing Today's Paulding County BOC meeting was one peppered with speakers both for and against the airport, each making points to pursue their position on the topic by speaking for and against the summary removal of appointed board members. Motions to remove those members who were appointed by the BOC whose terms extend through 2015 and beyond were introduced two weeks ago by airport opponent Todd Pownall, whose efforts are directed to derailing the project since it beca

I'm wanting to produce a short piece with someone with connections both to Paulding and also the BIG BLIZZARD. I'm hoping that you can put in touch with them to conduct a 'skype' video call ... including some comments to make us feel better here (by showing photos of them there.) To do video skype (I'll record on this end) we'll need to communicate with the person for the interview. Maybe you've moved there from here or you've got family/friends there that you think would like to participate. They'll get a bit on the next Pat and Patti Show ... PM or email me or call me at t

The issue really that is being explored really is the 'coverup.' As citizens pay taxes for the police and their presence, their expectation is that what they've hired are adults who have, in the core of their souls, a sense of equity and justice but also the courage to sacrifice for that. I think that the vast majority of police have that sense of equity and justice and they wince every time they see a fellow officer cross the line. However, from their first days on the job, they've seen a comrade - someone whom they would have to depend on in a sticky situation - cross the line and, s -
And prison costs more too. The only reason we went that direction is because there was a plan to privatize prisons (as well as a build a passel as schools were pretty much built out, mental institutions were no longer considered 'constitutional' and those who build institutions of that kind figured prisons would be a good way to make some money and use their existing influence with legislators.) pubby PS: We had a story - I may have posted it or maybe TP - about a juvy judge in Pennsylvania who was convicted for taking bribes there were paid on the basis of the number of kids he sent

You do realize how depressing you guys are. It is almost enough to drive a sane man mad with the constant negativity. Especially when I look around and I see people I know and care about obtaining care that they needed as a result of the ACA ... and remember a few who needed care who are no longer with us because of the pay to live system we had. BTW: You do know that under the ACA all policies have to include a mental health component ... and I would seriously recommend you talking death avail yourselves of some counseling because this level of negativity is unhealthy. I mean th

If this is who I think it is, he was just one of those guys smart enough to make the bet that the housing market was a bubble and made some smart bets. I actually am not a personally critical of the guy as you are CC. Why? Well, he employed a lot of folks building out those properties during the height of the recession. What this shows, though is the silliness of concentrating wealth so narrowly that those holding that wealth are subject to ridicule for having so much. I sense, since the man and his 'new family' (probably lifted some woman out of comparative poverty) live in the -
Some people live in the here and now; others are in the wrong place at the wrong time and others find the use of drugs actually numbs them in their ignorance, stupidity, cultural miasma, frustration or contemplation of the absurdity of seeking 'satisfaction' in a consumer society. Why? "And I'm a-riding in my car, and a man comes on the radio and he's a tell me and more and more, and he can't be a man if he doesn't smoke, the same cigarette as me, I can't get no ... no no no.." - Rolling Stones - Satisfaction. People who smoke dope or otherwise take drugs are doing so for a

I was there; his statements were not predictions, they were bluster. As far as the reform of capitalism, all the actions like "regulating industry" started long before there was a Soviet Union. In regard to the long term sustainability of capitalism as we know it, the end result is that more and more, the economy is perceived as a zero-sum game and all that is going on now is the concentration of wealth. How long will it be before some doofus like the Donald owns everything? Kenneth Boulding said: Anyone who believes exponential growth can go on forever in a finite world is either
