http://www.ajc.com/news/business/claytons-southlake-mall-foreclosed/nWHfp/ The halting economic recovery and changing consumer habits have forced a change of ownership at another metro Atlanta mall. Southlake Mall in Clayton County, an area hard hit by the home foreclosure crisis, was itself taken back in foreclosure on behalf of the lender, according to a real estate professional who was at the county courthouse Tuesday when the proceeding was announced.

The Congressional Budget Office's just-released economic forecast for 2013 is dispiriting, to say the least. The GDP is expected to grow by only 1.4%, the unemployment rate will "stay near" 8%, the deficit will reach $845 billion, and ObamaCare will cost 7 million their health insurance.itbart.com/Big-Government/2013/02/05/CBO-2013-Forecast-Unemployment-GDP-Health-Insurance http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/02/05/CBO-2013-Forecast-Unemployment-GDP-Health-Insurance

http://mdjonline.com/view/full_story/21599968/article-The-economy-%E2%80%94-Latest-numbers-not-very-happy-ones?instance=lead_story_left_column The economy’s surprise fourth-quarter contraction is being treated by economists as a hiccup and not a sign that the dishwater-weak recovery is in trouble. We hope they are correct. The decline announced last week was small, 0.1 percent, but still a shock after more than three years of unspectacular growth. The Federal Reserve blamed it on “weather-related disruptions and transitory factors.” One of those factors was a 22.2 percent drop in d

http://www.ajc.com/news/news/gasolines-drag-on-income-hits-30-year-high/nWGDj/ The Energy Department says U.S. households spent an average of $2,912 on gasoline, or almost 4 percent of their pretax income, the highest percentage in 30 years. That’s despite the fact that Americans consumed less fuel in 2012 for a variety of reasons, including more efficient driving habits and higher-mileage vehicles. “The effect of the higher prices in 2011 and 2012 outweighed the effect of reduced consumption,” the Energy Department said. In fact, researchers at the University of Michigan said Monday th

"So overall, the job market definitely appears to be on the road to recovery, and the Fed will keep pumping money into the U.S. economy until unemployment hits its target of 6.5%." We have the best economy money can buy.

Groundhog Soup Recipe Although it’s probable that this particular Groundhog Soup hasn’t been served in the area where Groundhog Day (February 2nd) originated, it definitely qualifies as a politically correct Groundhog Day dish; the meatballs are made of “ground hog” (ground pork) and because they contain rice, with a bit of imagination even sort of resemble the little critters. The groundhogs cook in the broth, making it rich and delicious, before adding lots of healthy vegetables which are cooked just until crisp-tender. Yum! This soup is definitely worth a trip to the Asian grocery st

Remington, a New York-based gun and ammunition manufacturer, may soon decide to leave the Empire State in response to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s strict new gun control law. Lawmakers from gun-friendly South Carolina, Michigan, Arizona and Oklahoma are all encouraging Remington to relocate, the local news site Innovation Trail reports. Representatives from all four states have sent letters to Freedom Group, Remington’s owner. “The enemies of freedom are waging an all-out assault on the Second Amendment to the Constitution which we have sworn to protect and defend,” South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan wr

it would be neat to have a network for getting money to where its needed. I have a friend who is a teacher in Korea and he told me about the cannibalism going on there. It would be interesting for a group to have something set up like a paypal account that you could donate money and have it accessible by a group who could get food or help to people that need it. I understand there would be corruption with something like that but if an effective trustworthy way of giving aid could be created one could give money and pay a fee for its transmittal and send money where its needed to a reputable gr
