That's what I did with my son. He went to Riverside Military in Gainesville and I would drive up there every Friday and pick him up. I made him drive home and back up there Sunday evening for an entire school year. 160 miles of interstate driving every weekend. We practiced parallel parking in the parking lot of Chattahoochee Tech with tall laundry hampers all summer and I made him drive me everywhere we were going. He did his Joshua law requirements online. He aced his driving test. Of course he was 16 and still had cranial rectal inversion syndrome and pulled out in front of somebody one

Read the fine print. They are not just letting you borrow $34K for 3, 4, 5 or 6 years. You are paying for it one way or the other. But it doesn't even have to be about having the money to drop it all at one time. What if went to your credit union to get the loan or an outside bank? As far as the dealer is concerned, that is a cash sale. That was my point, they look at you like you have two heads when you pay cash for anything anymore.

I guess people just don't understand what a cash sale is anymore. We pay cash for everything and it always amuses me to see the look on the salespersons face when you tell them that you will be paying cash. I hate debt and we will squirrel money away and save until we can afford to pay in full whether it's a TV or a car. If I could have paid cash for our house I would have.
