I don't believe that anyone wants to challenge the science in this topic. But there is more to it than just that. I guess my question is why in the world do you care? This is her life. Do you think it is just unnatural? Against God? Against society? What? Everyone is entitled to their belief but at the same time, to make a call about someone else's life just doesn't jive with me. In other words, unless someone can say they have walked in those shoes, why be disparaging?

Don't dismiss the mind so readily. Best I can tell the mentality trumps the biology. Its just your own need for judgement that gets in the way. I think we can be fairly secure in the thought she really does care about your judgement. It's her life, not yours.

Maybe she's not looking to be classified. That's her choice plain and simple. Edited to add: maybe she really just doesn't care what any of us think. Maybe at this point, she is just looking to be true to herself.

See, that's the part that is not being addressed. Increased value means a higher tax but it also means higher values for our properties. That's a good thing for the local residential RE market. God knows, I'm all for that.

I get what you are saying but perhaps you can understand that some people believe that it is up to the individual, and their own experience, to define how they would like to be addressed. Just go with it dude.........no harm, no foul.

I can't think it's a good idea to put this topic in the gutter. We've all seen that and done that. It gets no one anywhere. We are grown, can't we can have an honest exchange? I would hope so.

Not really because of the way these scanners are built, there is a time when the only person that has access to your bag is the TSA agent. Trust me, I raised 8 different kinds of heck that day. Made no difference. I did get a certain amount of satisfaction seeing the TSA agents face when I told him I had gotten the police involved.

It was in my purse (or backpack to some) it was taken when I put it through the scanner. The police pulled the tape and told me that because of the camera angle, it could not be confirmed. This is what I know, it was in my bag when it was put on the belt and it was not in the bag when it came out of the scanner.

True story. The TSA in the New Orleans airport stole my iPad. They thought I was alone but I wasn't. Actually told me that I didn't have an iPad. I marched myself right to the police in the airport and made a report. Never did get my iPad back but at least there is a paper trail.

Stonewall, now that's a most excellent post! I understand a feeling of resentment about being force fed something you don't agree with. My feeling is how people handle themselves making their point makes all the difference. I've had black friends that when a situation comes up that takes some work to get through, it just doesn't work out. Why? They feel it's because they are black. It's the training the union provides, it's a fairly tough commitment. Come se, come sa doesn't work for me when it comes to electricity. I want a disciplined training when it comes to that type thing.
