  1. Got chili in the crockpot and a peach cobbler in the oven.
  2. Went to Rodney's and had the special...chopped steak with mushroom gravy, fried okra, mashed potatoes and a biscuit and it was delicious! When my DH gets off work tonight, he will get leftover meatloaf!
  3. Just boil it with a onion, a little salt and pepper and a little butter until it is soft.
  4. They were both last minute decisions. I had planned on bbq boneless ribs, corn on the cobb and cole slaw, but we were out of bbq sauce, so I went to plan B.
  5. I made a chicken enchilada casserole and a taco casserole with ground beef. Both were pretty good I guess. They got eaten!
  6. Got a fire in the fireplace downstairs so that hopefully it will warm up the thermostat so that the upstairs doesn't get so hot!
  7. I don't have a school in Paulding anymore. I am back at Boots Ward Rec. center just inside the Cobb County line. Classes are free in January if anyone wants to try it out.
  8. Awww! I miss him. He is such a cutie. You know I moved my school to Boots Ward Rec. Center at Lost Mt. Park and I am doing January free, so bring him in! I would love to see him, and you, again!
  9. Give Gavin a big birthday hug from me! I think he will remember me, it hasn't been that long, has it?
  10. I always put a little celery and onion in mine too...with the chicken as you are boiling it making the broth.
  11. I closed my martial art school and went back to teaching my classes at the recreation center at Lost Mt. Park due to the ecomony. The overhead was overwhelming!
  12. God bless him and keep him safe. My prayers will be with you and your family and I have so much pride and respect for Ryan and those many military men and women that do what they do for America everyday. Thank you just doesn't sound like enough.
  13. I had some navy beans I cooked this week with a ham bone in the crockpot and made some cornbread to go with them. I baked a yellow cake with chocolate fudge icing for dessert! Yum!
  14. It was pretty loud. It scared the daylights out of me!!
  15. We were eating dinner about 9:30ish and there was a very loud explosion somewhere near Mt. Tabor Park. Made my dogs go crazy, too! Anybody else hear it or know what it was?
  16. I made some homemade clam chowder earlier, but now I am fixing to put some teriyaki chicken and pineapple on the grill. Late dinner as always but I just got home and my husband works until 9pm.
  17. I lost my daddy in April of 2000, three years after my momma. I miss them both so much. When daddy passed away, I was in Gatlinburg and it started to snow and I kind of knew he was gone. Now everytime we have a little spring snow shower, I feel like daddy is saying hello.
  18. Denise, I only know you through what I have read on here, but your words are always so beautiful and so full of love. You have been an inspiration to so many and I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Ladythatkicks (Beverly)
  19. So, so very sorry to hear this news. I will be praying for peace for his family. From all I have read from the past year, he was a very special boy and so is Denise. Every time she wrote about him you could just feel the love.
  20. Just want more people to see this so that you can come out and eat, have a great time, and help us raise funds for a great cause! All kids can participate in the kicking. We will kick, pyramid kick, run kick, jump kick, kick over air shields.....any way we can kick to help those unfortunate children who aren't able to participate in activities because of their health. Don't forget, the demo team will be performing at noon!
  21. Just a reminder that this Saturday, June 6th, we are having the kick-a-thon for St. Jude Children's Hospital at the Choi Kwang Do school on Dallas Hwy in front of Walmart. We will have BBQ and wings, an inflatable, music and the demo team is performing at noon! Come support us in raising money for a great cause! 10am until 1pm. Hope to see you there!
  22. I will also be glad to put my jar out at the Choi Kwang Do school on May 30th. We are having a kick-a-thon for St. Jude Children's Hospital that day and if people are already donating, they may as well make donations for the "wishing well" as well!
  23. I put my jar up yesterday. Already have some change in it but I am going to stick a bill in there so people get the idea! Doesn't have to be all change!
