  1. You might be right that it's not exciting...but, the entire park is shaded, a nice thing in Orlando in the summer (I'm a FL girl too!). Biggest bats you've ever seen. We enjoyed it, but if you're doing Disney for the rides, not the best choice.
  2. This makes me sad. A little hair color will help. I'd throw in some shopping, too.
  3. Disney doesn't give ticket discounts anymore outside of the resident discounts - the GA discount is the same as the FL discount in the summer. But, no, you do not.
  4. Yeah, you're pretty well screwed - and not literally, which will make you question the rest of your life forever and ever. Or you can choose to do things like competitive baking and church spelling bees to disguise your remiss for never having seen another penis. Either way, the grass is not always greener...and all penises are attached to men, so you may as well keep the one that doesn't require make-up. I've sampled the buffet, you haven't missed much.
  5. Did you marry young? not date much before you got married?
  6. Believe me, if that's going to be your mid-life crisis - you're doing just fine. I left a wake of abused men and empty booze bottles. Enjoy, life is short.
  7. I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet - she may not have wanted Arnold in the life of a child. Lord knows that I wouldn't!
  8. Oh, and I didn't add this part, but I'm one of the more successful in the career world - all of my cheer friends are SAHM (big surprise, eh?). We've had a doctor, a lawyer and a few people like me (corporate american cogs). Of my "crew" of 3 best girlfriends, I work in marketing, one girlfriend is a CSR at a bank and one of us (the one that did the best!) is an unemployed drug addict. Our class President still annoys me and I passed on my 10 year because I simply couldn't part with $1000 ($300 just for the admission ticket!) to see a bunch of people that I didn't like then and probably wo
  9. Then go blonde and get a nose ring. I had one around 25 - Read the book, Women Who Run with Wolves - it was a great few years. Of course, now, whatever I want I get and I make no apologies for it. So, bleach your hair, sheeze, get a weave.
  10. We are Baptist, so in our religion, Baptism happens when a child can go in front of the church and make a declaration. I have a couple questions. 1. I want to appoint Godparents - I've discussed with my pastor and he's okay with this. Has anyone done this within the Baptist conforms? I was raised Catholic, and it's the one piece of the religion that I want to keep. 2. I want to have a small luncheon, any suggestions on locations? 30 people max. I'd prefer a Cobb/Hiram location. Does anyone know if some of the typical "wedding locations" do discounts for Sunday luncheons? Generally sp
  11. I NEVER loan money...I will GIVE money to a friend, if I get it back, that's awesome...but I never GIVE with the intentions of a return.
  12. Have you ever seen a Bronx Tale? You got off easy. $300 bucks to find out who's NOT your friend, IMO, is cheap. Move on - lesson learned.
  13. I just posted them in PP. It was an AMAZING trip. I need to give more detail, but I'm still recovering from the drastic swings in time zones. 3 weeks is TOO long to be away from "real life"
  14. So the picture thread got me thinking...seems a bunch of you went to school together, so what kind of kid were YOU in school? I started off as a cheerleader, ubber popular chick (mostly with girls I had known since elementary school!)...then, I met a boy and turned into a total surfer chick. Smoked pot, didn't do as well as I should have in school, and was completely ostracized my senior year from my cheer friends - that were FAR from saints for the record. It was a GREAT welcome to the real world. What about you? Did they change at your reunion? Did anyone surprise you years later?
  15. You guys are sweet, thank you. We did have a good time!!!
  16. Damn, botox is expensive...lucky girl.
  17. I'm the blonde...chick. From the London Gala last week.
  18. The captain just gave us a tour of the bridge. So interesting!! Not to mention a little unnerving. He really wasn't supposed to give tours with the recent things with Bin Laden, we're on some sort heightened watch while we're in Croatia!
  19. The Greek Isles is quite possible the most beautiful place that I've ever seen!! The internet connection is doggedly slow, so I'm not able to upload pictures, but they are breathtaking and I will share some for sure. One of my favorite parts of Greece are teh people - everyone is so nice. Literally, strangers having coffee on the street will carry on a conversation like old friends. It's great! I'm about to blog with more details, for those following.
  20. I've heard that the cruises are okay in that area, but you wouldn't find me sailing on it! I don't know how old you are, but be aware that the public Seaborn cruises are "old" - I believe the average age being 60 - 65! We rented out the ship and designed our own itinerary, otherwise I don't know if I would enjoy it. We're not cruisers, but if you're looking for a luxury liner try Regent - I've heard good things.
