After cleansing the wound VERY WELL with antibacterial soap, you can pour alcohol over the bites. Yes, it stings, but for some reason it seems to lesson the pain. Some people will have a severe reaction no matter what, but for the most part if you keep the wound/s clean then it should clear up w/o any issues. But, after 20+ years of working with cats, and dogs, bites are a minor issue for me.
