Babies Genetically Engineered With Superhuman Athletic Genes?
gog8tors replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What's to say it's not already being done? Oh, look your baby might have a genetic deformity. Wanna kill it? You can always try for the perfect child later. -
I'm so over this only the homeowner pays property taxes. When I rented I understood that if property taxes went up, so did my rent. You rent you pay property taxes. We are homeowners now, but I haven't forgotten those days. Before I vote one way or the other I want to know exactly where the money already collected has gone. Isn't there money in the gas taxes that is for road maintance, and construction? Where is that money? How much does Paulding get? How much does Fulton get, etc.? Laurie, have you been to midtown lately? The roads are still as bad as they were 20+ years ago. From wh

I don't have a problem with anyone caring what ever. Pistol, rifle, short/ long/ whatever, bow, knife. It is what it is. Your just intimidated (scared) of people who want to carry. Dude, I guess ya gotta eat, Right?
-
Well personally I prefer that the guns stay zipped up in public (what you do in the privacy of your home, is your biddness.) Weapons on the other hand, concealed or not does not intimidate me. It is good to know who is intimidated by them though.

Prayers for you, and your family. I don't have any advice, I don't know how I would handle it. Maybe check with the local churches to see if there is a support group. I know West Ridge has a ton of support groups. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Realizing when you've hit another stage in life...
gog8tors replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Same with me. Now that he is in middle school, the parents don't seem so young. I know they are the same ones that were young when he first started elementary school. Maybe it's that I've watched them and their children grow that it doesn't seem they are that young anymore. I've also reached the age that I don't really give a flip what anyone thinks about me. I did get carded at Kroger last night. -

It is always great when you make/get THE perfect gift, and it turns out to be THE gift you hoped it would be. That sounded better in my head. -

I would love to do that for her. Unfortunately she is housebound, and wouldn't be able to go. Thank you though. -

That's not flippant at all. I walk a dog for a woman that is will be 91 this June. For her birthday I am making her a CD of old Gospel songs. I know she loves the Gatlin brothers. Something like that might be great. -
See, I used to have more faith a long time ago. But, in the past 3 1/2 years, it's gone downhill fast.

You mean SECOND amendment right. Nothing bout a badge in it. I hope you carry your gun around, most men do. However if you want to carry a weapon around that's fine too.
-
Yea right, Just like the guy practicing his 2nd amendment right. His mere presence caused you to call him an SOB. Of course you were to chicken to say that to his face. Dude you remind me of the guy who's mouth writes a check his ass can't cash. Back to the OP. Zimmerman will be found guilty just to make certain groups happy.

I keep seeing the word "privilege" here. No one is "privileged." Lucky enough to be born (especially if you were born after 1973) into wealth maybe. Being MOM is the best job, and yes the most important job a woman can have. There are some in this thread that would (by other post they have made) be considered "the wealthy elite." There are also some that are envious of any woman who is able to stay at home. The fact is this, we make choices that are right for our families. Some parents (because there are SAHD) make the decision because, between the cost of transportation, childcare, and ot

Yes, that was exactly what she was saying. After all it's the big bad "rich" people who are screwing us. I just can't believe that some folks are so stupid, as to really fall for the crap that is being spewed left, and right.
-
Yep, it really gets stupid now. Hang in there. You can fill me in on the ending. Yeah I was one of those who stopped watching.
-
Well that bites. I'll have to see what exactly ins. will pay for, and then see where we'll go from there. Less pain, and fewer office visits would be good though.
