Can somebody please let me know how to submit photos? I can't find the info anywhere. -
My husband and I did something similar to this last November for my birthday, except we went to Cherokee. We stayed at the little hotel at the end of the parking lot (El Camino - was only $59 a night), walked over to the parking lot of the casino and caught the shuttle, hung out at the casino but didn't spend too much there. On my actual birthday we took a ride on the Great Smokie Mountain Railway, which was really awesome! There are lots of shops to cruise in and out of in Cherokee! Best of luck!

OK - I am sure I will get bashed for this, but here goes: Why is it OK to send the kids to school this morning when the goverment offices are not opening until 10? Is the safety of the county officials more important than the safety of our kids? I just don't get it. If the roads are fine, then they should not have delayed the opening of the government offices, which by the way was already scrolling across on the news at 10 last night.

Any updates on the roads? I have to drive from Vinings to Burnt Hickory area and was just wondering if I need to make other plans.

Burnt Hickory area! It was crazy!

It was 70 degrees two days before the Blizzard of '93, so I think it depends on the amount of snow that falls. We had two feet of snow back then. That snow stayed on the ground for days.

Do you know if they have the "double's" machines? I gave last week at the government complex, but my son could not give then. He wants to give but can only use those machines since they have the smaller needles and less after affects.

I just saw on WSB News that Paulding County Schools are closed today

Has anyone been out this morning? Just wondering how the roads are.
-
Does anyone have an update on the accident? It must have been bad if they closed the road.

This is even better when you wrap the chicken in bacon and add some sour cream to the soup mixture - yummy!
