You can also put locking gas caps I can remember as a KID riding in a neighbor's field w/o permission came home with a few grains of salt. of course, that was 30 years ago... can't do that stuff today (one of the reasons AMERICA is SO Messed up! IMO)

The advantage of having a PASSPORT in the above mentioned scenario... if you need MEDICAL ATTENTION back in the states getting back in Quickly w/o a PASSPORT may be a challenge.
