  1. Oh, la la!!! I didn't realize you were so talented! Those are nice. We didn't even buy a pumpkin this year! Little man never really made a big deal about getting one. He about puked last year when we were carving that one, so I don't think he has any wishes to do that any time soon again. LOL
  2. Uh, nope! I don't think anything would fit over this huge belly! You should see it...it is a lot bigger than it was the last time I saw you! Little man is going as Spider Man!
  3. WIth all of this talk about chicken n' dumplins...I had to make a pot myself! Craving kicked in! I boiled 4 chicken breasts, added in a few chopped carrots (to make the little one eat them ), a dash of onion powder, thyme and garlic powder. Since I am home sick with a sinus infection, I didn't have the option to run to the store for frozen dumplins or canned biscuits...so, I made homemade biscuit dough. Added drops of dough into the chicken broth, shredded the chicken and added that back in...salt and pepper...and wahlah!!! Homemade chicken n' dumplins. First time I h
  4. I hope the youngin' does well!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for her. Let me know how she does.
  5. I had to vote "Way too much." However, I don't think it was way too much. I had the fairy tale wedding! Princess dress, etc. etc. It was PERFECT! My mom didn't have that big of a wedding, so she wanted mine to be big, perfect, and invite lots of people. I would say that there was about 250+ people at my wedding and reception. We did the wedding in the church, then had the reception in my parents front yard. They rented one of those big white tents, with heaters, and all the stuff to make it look like a building and not a tent. We made a lot of the decorations ourselves, which made
  6. Cubed steak with homemade gravy (which is rare for me to do!), with mashed taters, green peas, and crescent rolls.
  7. Scalini's (off Cobb Pkwy) and Provino's (in Douglasville) are sister restaurants. Each place is FABULOUS! Wow, now I want to go! Dern pregnancy cravings kick in fast!
  8. Yum! That makes me want to go bake a cake for later!!!! That may even give me and my little boy something to do since it is raining, again!
  9. We stopped at Red Lobster on the way home from The Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville. It was quite yummy!!!!
  10. Where is Bishop Creek and Brooks Farm located?
  11. I would like to think this as well...but, unfortuanetly, with the pressures of the CRCT being jammed down our throats on a day to day basis...it's not fun anymore. We teach to a test. I can't tell you the last time I actually had time to do a fun little activity that had nothing to do with a test. I remember it was fun when I was in school...not so much any more. I feel bad for my kids sometimes, because we never have time to do fun stuff. I wouldn't have a problem with going in tomorrow, if it WERE fun still. And, in all honesty, I have never felt like I was put on a pedestal, and
  12. No, I don't! However, now I have to go out and buy water to take, which the last time I checked, my Publix was out. It is just becoming a major hassle. I, literally, would rather sit here on my behind, than sit in a hot classroom, nauseated (since I am pregnant)! So, what am I to do about lunch???? Restaurants are limited on what they can serve since there is a boil water advisory. It would be too much of a hassle to come all the way home at lunch, only to have 3-4 minutes to eat. Just irritates the fire out of me!
  13. Which, IMO, makes me feel like the county doesn't give a poo about the teachers! Bring my own drinking water, really???? I would much rather sit at my house and do nothing, than sit in my classroom all day doing nothing! (Yeah, I will be bashed for saying that, but it is my opinion.)
  14. From what school? I still want the automated call to be made.
  15. I wish they would make a decision. I would have the chance to go on a split second vacay with my hubby! He has to go to Charlotte for a business trip. I know the county is doing the best they can, but is there really a point in having a two day work week? Or, if no school on Thursday, a one day work week? Really?
  16. Hubby has to get to Charlotte, NC tomorrow. Any ideas on which route he should attempt to get toward 85N???
  17. We are off Nebo Rd. near SPMS. We still have water. Low pressure, nah kind of.
  18. Ok, I understand that I need to boil water for cooking, brushing teeth, drinking (us and pets), etc. etc But, I really need to run the dishwasher. Is that safe or not???? I know it is probably a crazy question...but, surely I can't be the only one wanting to know!
  19. Is it all the way to 61 or just to Dallas Nebo??? McClung to 61 would be a long way.
  20. I am getting close to thinking that it may be a good idea. Is it raining bad over there? I can't get in touch with mom and dad to find out.
  21. Sounds good to me. I may just join you on that one. I could use a day off.
  22. If hubby wants to listen on the scanner, what channel should he turn it too? He has an actual scanner, not using the computer
  23. Are you kidding me??? They won't close schools for anything. If Cobb doesn't close, Paulding won't close. I know I may get bashed for saying that, but it is the truth.
  24. I did it, and it said I would be having a boy. However, I entered in the info of my first pregnancy and it said it would be a girl. Yeah, NOPE. My first is ALL little boy! ??? I have seen several of these predictors, and I just don't believe any of them. Oh well. I guess I will just have to wait until mid November to find out what it will be.
