  1. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, ...where have I heard that before? Cops say that quite often, they should know to watch what they say, especially if they themselves are on camera. I read on WSB where Lt. Abbott announced his retirement. So, since he hadn't been officially fired yet, he announced his retirement. I say good for him. He didn't use foul four letter words, he didn't use the "N" word. etc. What he said was wrong, I get it, but to try to fire him was wrong. A letter of reprimand or even a short suspension would have let other officers know
  2. ...a government employee involved in bribery? Say it ain't so.
  3. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-08-30/from-stocks-to-bonds-the-bear-market-signals-are-multiplying The outlook is predicting a Bear Market on the horizon and many investors are getting nervous. When many different financial experts are sounding the alarm, folks might be wise to look over their portfolio and adjust accordingly to minimize their risk in the event the experts are right. My guy has shifted some of my stuff to global versus domestic and even moved stuff to bonds and so forth. If you don't have a financial adviser, I'd suggest https://acgwealth.com/. Mr Artzi

  6. JANE MANSFIED WAS AT THE MARIETTA STORE ON OPENING DAY IN THE 60'S. MY DAD GOT TO SEE A HOLLYWOOD STAR.
  7. I always like this Kmart. They had better deals than the usual department stores. My mom still lives in the South Cobb area and the southern end of Cobb is going downhill despite revitalization efforts by Cobb officials. Austell & Mableton are in much worse shape than east Cobb, Cumberland, Vinings. etc. This is bad news for an already struggling part of Cobb County.
  8. We were driving up through Red Top Mountain last evening with the top down on the jeep and the park is so beautiful this time of year. It won't be long until the leaves start turning and the temperature starts to cool down and it will be a great place for camping. We did manage to drive through an area where a skunk left his calling card for us. Wow. Shoooo weee....... All in all, it was a great experience though.
  9. The refineries are located near Galveston and Houston, right in the path of Hurricane Harvey. It would be wise to go ahead and top off, just in case.
  10. https://weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/tropical-storm-hurricane-harvey-forecast-24aug2017 Hurricane Harvey poised to hammer the Texas Gulf Coast with an extremely dangerous combination of torrential rainfall, storm-surge flooding and destructive winds this weekend, before taking a strange, meandering path next week.

  12. I checked ebay and a couple of them are over $80, but most are priced around $40. We'll keep our coin and maybe one day it's going to be worth more.
  13. I love Edgar Allen Poe. I don't know why though, he was psycho https://www.poemuseum.org/the-tell-tale-heart By Edgar Allan Poe - Published 1843 True! --nervous --very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad? The disease had sharpened my senses --not destroyed --not dulled them. Above all was the sense of hearing acute. I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad? Hearken! and observe how healthily --how calmly I can tell you the whole story. It is impossible to say how first the idea en
  14. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/paulding-county/mother-of-slain-high-school-athlete-says-she-knows-who-killed-her-son/595731649 Police are looking for the person who murdered a former Paulding County High School star athlete who was heading to college. Tommy Lee Robinson was shot and killed Friday night after a football game. His mother held back tears but found enough strength to say some powerful words inside the high school gym where he was remembered Sunday. "I have a whole community behind me that says how good my baby was," Melinda Lee told Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes at a v

  18. Its like a family tree. Each of us probably has some riff raff in the family tree, but you can't change history by whiting their names out of the family bible. One of my grandfather's was a minister, One of my grandfathers died at 47, he was a drunk, one of my great uncles went to prison for murder. One of my great uncles was himself murdered. Some of my great aunts were married many many times. Some were no count, others managed to do very well to the point some became extremely wealthy. It is what it is, You can't change the past. You can only look forward and learn from the past. Eac
