  1. I alway thought that Ginger would be the second one off the Island, cause she was going to be with who ever found the way off first. Oh the intelligent types always go for the psychos, They can't seem to help themselves. Mary Ann was Gilligan all the way.
  2. I never thought about it that deeply. I was waiting to see which one the professor was going to finally hook up with
  3. We have so many new antique and second hand shops in Paulding now. It has become one of my favorite things to do. I love to treasure hunt in these things. I find cool stuff to re-purpose and get ideas for projects. It is fun to get decorative objects in good condition at more than 1/2 price. I have also been exploring pinterest for ideas. I converted a decorative bowl into a lamp and made silhouette vases for the bathroom. These were old cheap vases from flower arrangements sitting around. I am headed to the the Fix on west Memorial today. The Darby's crossing antique mall has a ton o
  4. We handle many accident cases. We have lawyers that send patients because we do not pad the bill or try to max out the available claim money. We advised our kids years ago to carry the max med pay and uninsured on their insurance.Thank goodness our daughter took our advice. No matter what happens to you or your car there is only so much money available. The man that hit her was retired, rented and lived on SS. She was given every dime available through the policies. No huge pain and suffering pay out here. She was barely able to cover the medical bills and stay out of debt. She is just sta
  5. My first diagnosis was 5 years ago. We have treated on symptoms the last 2. Negative test can be very bad for your treatment plan. This last time was the scariest. I had 2 bites that would not heal for about 6 weeks. I talked to my primary who wanted to wait for more symptoms. I went on vacation and started with the tale tale symptoms of foot sole pain you can hardly walk and fatigue. My primary was out of town so another doctor gave me 10 days of doxy. This is where it gets really scary. I do a lot of maintenance here in the spring, bleaching and painting woodwork, the garden ect. I thought m
  6. He does. it is hard for me to even visit, it reminds me of what I don't have anymore and how much I enjoyed it.
  7. Depending on how long you fast, you usually just lose water weight. The only benefit is the shrinking of your stomach. Most Americans each twice the normal volume of food they should at every meal. Your stomach is the size of your fist. If you go back to eating the same volume in a few days it will do you no good. It can also help to remove the excess sugar from your body and help with cravings, again if you immediately go back to eating the way you are then the effort is wasted. You might try concentrating on nutrition instead of your usual go to foods. I try to get in 4-6 different veg
  8. I went by Monday to pick up my personal things from the p.com office. 90% of it is memorabilia. The posters of the various events and parties. I consider all the people in those pictures to be friends. Some of it from the North Paulding business group I founded. Many of the businesses have gone on to be very successful. They are still going strong with over 150 members. I brought home the infamous shoe chair and pink sequined cowboy hat that many dear friends posed in wearing the hat for a picture. I have the little pink light up Mayberry. The little p.com rocks troll made by Southern
  9. My son is having stomach issues this morning and now I am queasy a lethargic. Just wondering if it is going around and what to expect.
  10. I mentioned it because the FB statement was my source and it was the stated purpose of the post. I don't watch the Atlanta news so most of my local news comes from here of FB. The reason being is Atlanta news has no relevance for me. I am a transplant that moved directly to Paulding. I have never lived or worked in Atlanta like most people. I felt the need to clarify that I had no ulterior motive in using the FB statement other than what I stated about being worried about health risk related to a fuel dump. I freak out if an unknown substance is sprayed on my vehicle from the road. I don't
  11. This is not about pro or con Paulding airport. I have pulled away from Paulding politics because I intend to move away in a few years. I found this posted on their FB page and I am concerned for my health and have a lot of questions about exactly where and how much. Yesterday a Delta Air Lines flight bound for Tokyo, Japan had to return to Hartsfield-Jackson for an emergency landing. The Boeing 747 had a fire in the number four engine just after takeoff, so the crew decided to jettison fuel from the airplane over Paulding County in order to make a safe landing. Those who are opposed
  12. I don't know how I missed it the first time I scrolled through.
  13. I have picked up snippets on FB but no details. Anybody have any info?
  14. I would remind those that have issue with us non-vaccinaters, that our risk has brought about many improvements in vaccines that make them much safer for your children. On the other hand my children hardly ever contracted the many viral infections that vaccinated children suffer from throughout the school year. It is simply a trade off at this point until we perfect vaccines, so this story holds promise that they will be improved and hopefully safe for everyone. The biggest issue is distrust of big Pharma and our government when they refused 30 years ago to admit that the first vaccine give
  15. When you think about the many ways they can get us it can paralyze you with fear. In fact that is what terrorist want. They made believers of us on 9/11. They want us to be scared. They also are quite proud that we bankrupted the country with security measures and a war that seem to destablize the entire region giving them more opportunity. I am sure they watch Fox news whipping the American public into a paranoid frenzy and slap each other on the back. No countries borders are truly secure any place in the world. I am sure the Fox headlines declaring the American's lack of trust in the
  16. I believe we fought a revolutionary war so that you did not have to be a land owner, achieve a certain level of education or race and eventually sex to vote. I say we have way too many that will accept any and everything to achieve what they believe is what is best. The only wrong thing either side can do is not to vote, not to be involved and to keep up. The reason that anyone feels taken advantage of, or broadsided is they are not involved. Walk away from the tv, internet, and radio, get out in your community at every opportunity. Maybe even support an entity that keeps you informed duh
  17. If you read the whole article Zimmerman claims to be providing security for a gun and bike store. The owner claims he has not been asked to provide security he sits out there own his own. I knew from day one that he was messed up in the head and believes that firearm gives him authority. I predict he will kill someone else, he believes the acquittal vindicated him and that the firearm gives him authority over others. I suspect he sees himself as a hero.
  18. How would a mall help? 90% of the employment is min wage and part time at that. We would need more low income housing for the employees. They also don't make enough to help the local economy, they don't have money to spend on anything but rent and utilities. I would rather see west 278 with nothing but industrial and manufacturing.
  19. I am expecting a commercial building boom up here around N.61 and Dabbs in relationship to the new sports facility. I am not interested in being any closer to commercialization, that is why I chose north Paulding. We will probably build a retirement home around Rockmart, that is where our kids are. The impact of that facility on Paulding has been said to be minimal. I actually suspect that it is just the opposite. It will not surprise me to see the focus shift from industrial facilities to commercial and residential again. You know the old saying about a bird in the hand.
  20. I just read an AJC article explaining the deal of handing the airport over to the AA. http://www.myajc.com/news/business/paulding-county-airport-agreement-riles-opponents/nhJzM/#c8ae3d7a.3624950.735486 County backers and airport director Blake Swafford said the 10-year stream of revenue to the airport from the county, which starts at $400,000 annually and steadily declines to $175,000 in year ten, “puts the monkey on the airport’s back to become more self-sufficient.” What if the airport starts to become very successful? Will the county still collect taxes on the planes, from Pr
  21. The only time you see them motivated is when they become very uncomfortable with their situations. The way I have seen it done around here is door to door with exaggerated issues and registration forms in hand. The other way is to stay on the down low because you are positive you have enough birds in hand you don't want to take chances with bringing folks to the polls that might not vote for you. The airport is a prime issue. Probably 70% of the county is clueless or don't get the big deal when they see the billboards. Then when the big planes pass over their houses they will get very in
  22. The article I read said there have been outbreaks of this virus since the 1960's. The people ending up in the hospital are the groups that always do when there is an outbreak of anything, the medically fragile. Our schools are breeding grounds for viruses. My dad sometimes goes months without seeing his grand kids and my 2 sisters that have children in grade school because of his leukemia. It is not unusual for them to catch up to 10 different viruses over the school year.
  23. What it does prove is a very sad situation where those registered to vote locally don't pay attention and don't vote in local elections. You have roughly 10 - 15,000 that make all the decisions about the leadership in this county. It is becoming harder and harder to reach the public through print and tv here in the county. Many use to come to this sight to learn about local happenings but the vicious political debates that spill over into all the threads have become tedious and boring. Many would come on here and anonymously inform others about what is happening, many have been attacked s
  24. I can't believe you called me a name. I simply shared what I found. I had no opinion on it, but was looking for opinions on this just like the opinions from the stop Paulding airport expansion. Your behavior reflects badly on the stop Paulding folks. You know that you can get the email addresses of almost all of the BOC, AA, and IBA quite easily. Don't take it out on me because I shared a publication. There is nothing wrong with people seeing both sides and remarking on them.
