I don't know if this will work for you but we cover the pump with a huge comforter like a tent, then we place a heater in there and run them both when it is below freezing.

They had about 10 trucks up here on N61 yesterday cutting branches away from the lines, they were even down here in my neighborhood cutting. I started athread about parents using their own judgment about sending kids to school with the forecast we had. I am 48 years old, born in the south, but I have lived up north too. We had more than a week of freezing and below freezing temps. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that anything falling was gonna stick. I also knew that rising temps with rain and sleet followed by quickly dropping temps was going to cause ice. Why the worry and hysteria. Yes and no, I did buy 2 for my daughters. I went into CVS yesterday and they had some left and I bought myself one I was feeling that guilty thing over buying something for myself at Christmas so I decided to buy another one and give them for gifts, of course I took the 10.00 price tag off. When I saw it yesterday I still wanted one for myself, and since Christmas was over I could get it guilt free. I can't be accused of giving cheap gifts I wouldn't have myself I love my Chi's, they have a way of getting into your heart.

Nobody in my family will ride one now. We all had a lot of issues dealing with how horribly mutilated he was. It really made it so much more painful. My heart always goes out to loved ones of anyone that loses someone like that. You just can't understand it until it happens, Losing a loved one is always painful, but losing them like that is another level that is hard to describe.

Guard Dad I agree with you, there are very few that do the diet right. It has some serious draw backs to those that do not do it correctly. A serious one is those that eat a lot of processed meats on the diet, the chemicals in those meats are very bad for you, and eating a lot with very little else can cause a toxic build up in your system. Also eating hydrogenated fats along with high cholesterol foods can cause plaque to build up rapidly in your arteries.
