I have no issue with that, but the idea that it should become mandatory because of large numbers of any immigrants from a certain region are here, just comes across as a very UN-American concept to me.

I don't agree that we should change our language or our culture because of mass immigrations to our country. I am just curious if cyclist come out here thinking they are going to find a road were special consideration is given to them. It is a suicide route, we have trouble with speeding up there, on top of that they just raised the speed limit. I have no problem with the state adding a bike lane when widening roads, I wouldn't even mind it being mandatory when the construction is planned, but misleading people about the safety of a route is just plain wrong. I wonder who would have been charged had the worse happened. I was just lucky that the truck got back in his lane in time. The car behind him had no way of knowing I was in the other lane until the truck got back over. I wonder how the bike rider would have felt had one of us been killed in a head on. He was actually over the white line people had no choice but to take the oncoming lane to keep from hitting him. A few days ago I was returning from Kennesaw on Dabbs Bridge rd. I topped a hill to see a tractor trailer fully in my lane coming head on. I put on the brakes and he moved back to his lane, just behind him a car was doing the same. When the cleared I saw the problem, a cyclist was on the side of the road. We were all in danger from his choosing to ride down that road. It is a tough decision for a motorist to decide to hit him or an oncoming vehicle. the road was so narrow that this was the choice.
