This is where I get my news. https://news.google.com/news?pz=1&cf=all&ned=us&siidp=a9b412f175924b76941c6c929a1e3a581361&ict=ln&ar=1373312381 I run through the headlines, click on what interest me. As you can see drama sells and so does negativity. I always scroll to the bottom of the articles, many times the good stories are there. I will browse these leads for an hour in the morning because it does help with the stressed feeling you get from the drama lines. Some of the best and interesting articles can be found on the weather channel website. A few days ago over 3

I have come across some articles that say it can help control the fungus's on plants. You can't eradicate them from the soil and any time you have a lot of rain you can get problems with it. Supposedly this controls it on the plant and reduces the damage. I am a little leery so I am looking for first hand experiences with it.

I am sharing this story to point out just how complex the immigration issue really is. The easy answer is they are here illegally, round them up, send them home and don't let them come back. It simply not that easy as are many of the problems facing us. When constituents tell their elected officials that compromise will lose my vote we end up with a small minority of people actually being represented. This is the other side of the immigration bill. http://www.boston.com/business/news/2013/07/08/farmers-worry-about-fate-immigration-bills/ETqbtjD8y98I3j3QaeI7SI/story.html ATWOOD, Mic

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/06/20/us/cnnheroes-pregracke-messages-bottle/?iref=obinsite Memphis, Tennessee (CNN) -- They've been romanticized in movies and songs, but many people really do send messages in a bottle. Chad Pregracke has found 64 of them, accumulating what he believes to be one of the world's largest collections. The CNN Hero stumbled onto them while cleaning up the country's rivers. Since 1997, he and volunteers of his nonprofit, Living Lands & Waters, have removed more than 7 million pounds of debris from U.S. waterways. CNN sat down with Pregracke to

We decided weeks ago to celebrate the 4th with a family barbq by the pool. I have lots of food for today. We are going to make the best of it after all it is about the fellowship not the food or the pool. I was looking forward to a splash ball war, not happening!

It is a numbers game of publishing in the age of electronic media. Having felt the pressure I understand it to an extent. The first to publish racks up the numbers, not especially the respect.

Your tomatoes are sweet because they are early, the later in the season the more tart. In the fall they will be very tangy!

Your beliefs and reality supposedly differ, If I am Muslim do I need to leave this country, what about atheist, Jewish? Obviously I am not welcome here either since I don't want any religion forcing their beliefs and traditions on me. A christian country for Christians only. Why not white only? Lets make sense of this, we killed all the dark skinned people here, then imported some to build our country and the wealth. They serve no use now but to burden us with crippling taxes. Who else should we get rid of so the country is perfect, the elderly, disabled, those with learning disabilities? -

I totally disagree with you and Mrs Howard. You have a single minded obsession with removing the first black president of the United States. He can't help being socialist because of the color of his skin. He has not created a single social or welfare program. He has formalized social medicine that has been in effect for many years. In fact I don't know of any person of color that designed or ask for the creation of socialism. It has become overwhelmingly apparent where the line on socialism is drawn, the other side of the railroad tracks. -

So easy to poke the hornets nest here. The socialism that many so strenuously object to was born of sin. It was conceived to maintain segregation. We are paying the price. Until we offer hope instead of hate to resolve it we will see it worsen. We are our own worse enemies, I suspect there are those out their preparing to profit on a Mexican ghetto, we will go along with it too. We have been socialist since the day we began collecting income taxes. Capitalist have been benefited hugely from many of our largest socialist projects such as electrification and highways just to name a few. -

You should know the answers to those questions. This country has always been progressive. It has just been in recent history that it has become a bad thing. We progressively solve our problems and are one of the best countries in the world to live in because of it. There was no better time in America than today. I am sure our founding fathers were considered quite liberal by the British, I am also sure that many thought that we would fail. We still have people risking their lives to live here, yet we allow shock jocks to convince us that our country is on the brink of complete failure. W -

They should write a second article about those horrible progressives, also known as our founding fathers and authors of the declaration of independence. Thank goodness they did not cling to traditionalism. -
I took a FHA loan, it was my first and I was having my home built. This was 18 years ago, their inspection guidelines were stricter and I felt like I got a better house because of it.

I never spanked in public that I remember, I raised 4 and the oldest is 30 now. I did not spank very much and as I matured as a parent I realized most of the spankings could have been dealt with differently and better. Most of the physical discipline was between 2-5 as the children's reasoning skills improved there was less need for it. There have got to be consequences for bad behavior every kid responds differently, once you find the consequence that works you can usually threaten from then on out. I did not spank in public, I discretely pinched, it only took one time of a hard pinch

I had a similar thing happen to me years ago. I went to the emergency room with neurological symptoms and the drug test came back positive. At that point the disrespect for you is apparent. I got sent home with no help. I had been using an insecticide on the lawn that had penetrated my leather shoes, one of the ingredients was THC. Thankfully I figured it out on my own, because my symptoms returned every time I put the shoes on to work in the yard. This is not the first time I have had issues with drug testing and the quality of emergency room care received in this area. I understand t

I think she looks fine as far as her figure and the bathing suit seems pretty normal as far as size and fit. What do you think?

Many Vets now have the same equipment to diagnose and treat animals as hospitals have for humans. Your dog may not need anymore than a check-up and vaccination. For those of us that have needed this modern equipment to help our animals understand why vet fees have gone up considerably. Many older vets have paid off much of their equipment and can offer lower fees.

Exactly, had they been hit by a car before they were picked up would she be persecuting the driver? It was an accident by all definitions.

This is horrible. I am going to give her slack because she does one of the worse jobs ever. She is the one that fixes the mess that irresponsible people leave behind. She is the one that has to kill the pet that is no longer wanted or the result of someone not spaying or neutering their animal. She kills thousands, I couldn't kill one. She is a strong lady that does a horrible job. Most people become vets because they want to help animals. I am sure her practice and patients are what heals her wounds from having to do this. I will pray for her and hope that people will be forgiving an

We have laws that basically keep employers from abusing their workers. Unfortunately these laws are rendered almost useless in a right to work state. I have conversations with people that were raised in other states, they say things like you can't fire an employee for being sick, I look at them like where are you from? It is common for people that are sick or have been injured in accidents to be fired in the state of Georgia. You don't see a lot of it in large companies, especially if they do business nationally, but you see it. You disagree with a supervisor, in Georgia you can be fire

I had some besties over today, we ate good sammiches, drank dragon juice and enjoyed ourselves. I never tire of puttering in the garden. The pups were endless entertainment. Middle age is wonderful, we have so much in common. Time, time and more time to enjoy each other and smell the roses. We can talk about any and everything. Our relationships are stable, our kids have flown the nest for good. TUESDAYS ROCK!!! :drinks:
