  1. As in who would you like to meet that you have not. I don't list people I have met because I would forget someone and they would feel left out. On th other hand the ones I have not met are a short list. The top of my list is Ceiling fan, I loved her name and she jumped right in wearing her big girl panties.

  3. The articles I read pointed to the ending of the war to be the cause of the reduction in defense spending. We are also dealing with the same in defense as we are in many fields and that is high tech devices take the place of people. Both those reasons are pretty good. We are seeing what has been predicted for years. Companies have finally taken the plunge with high tech machinery and computer programs when facing the unknown results of Obama care. My question is how are we preparing for this? Graduation of medical related personal is at an all time high, because of the expectation of a hu
  4. You never recover from meth, the first time you do it your brain is changed forever and will never be the same..The best way to describe it is your kid getting really drunk on his 21st birthday, running his car into a tree at 70 and being in a vegative state for the rest of his life. You don't recover from your first hit of meth.
  5. 99% of them are good people until they get behind a keyboard with an anonymous name. The one percent? run baby run He is good now, it is like looking at your teenagers wrecked car and your knees turning to jelly thinking about what could have happened
  6. Yep never no how, I was actually talking to a friend about the drug culture. We were told as kids that marijuana would make us crazy. We would stare at the sun until we were blind or jump from bridges because we thought we could fly. You know what we smoked, we got high we hugged each other and ate cinnamon toast until we passed out. Never ever lie to your kids, be honest about your concerns. The people that grew up used pot started successful businesses finished college ect. We were not going to fear another drug that might give them the energy and high to be even more successful. Don't
  7. Motivation baby. it's all about the motivation. Some people will absolutely refuse to be in pain alone. As in misery loves company Everybody needs a meme to rock them to sleep at night Or bewbie hugs, their iss just not enough Lppt to go around.
  8. Because some things just don't jive. Sometimes we judge according to where we are at, instead of really seeing what is. Some also like to give a false impression knowing how others will respond. I try not to label people because their perceptions can be night or day depending on life experiences that have impacted them. We learn and grow through 2 things, pain and pleasure. Pain is pretty easy, pleasure on the other hand speaks volumes.
  9. Um yes, Mr.D one of my faults is to genuinely like most people and treasure each and every connection. Everyone needs a real hug, I don't care who you are.
  10. I am not trying to get folks to get on folks case. I have met many P.commers in person, I see what is obvious in how people interact. So much of it is just not true on a basic level. Pubby and I can't hide behind anonymity. Yet we are pretty darn honest about most things. My only claim to a false online persona is I can be snarky and seldom publicly display that side of myself. Pubby on the other hand comes across more terse and condescending on the board than he is in person. He is a lot softer than I am on some things Pubby and I have to own what we say on here. Others don't so wha
  11. Lets start with the 2 most obvious. former member is a British, liberal, pot stirrer- The postman is an impoverished, bitter old man, afflicted with wealth envy- Pubby is a liberal who is inherently dishonest.- I am an over the hill opinionated dumb blond- Nc 17 is a hot mess. I know I left some out so help me out
  12. I had a taste this evening and the beef was heavenly. I could not get over how good it was. Most Shepherd pie here is made with grounf beef. I despise ground beef, I can't even stand the smell. I will almost never eat a burger. My hat is off to you it was excellent. I hate it that Mrs. Pip was sick on her birthday. Ran into a few favorite peeps picking up their dinner, it seemed festive even if she was under the weather. Again my hat is off to you for making what I think of as an economical budget meal into a gourmet dish. I love watching you prepare these meals you not only put the best in
  13. We have always levied sanctions against countries over humanitarian causes. We won't sanction them and they know it. I am upset about how Muslim countries treat women and children. They still have a thriving slave trade. I am upset that no matter the what atrocities they commit here and in their own countries, we make them wealthier every day. They don't deserve it period. You can not separate the countries in who benefits because the money ends up in the region. We don't need to be doing business with them. There is nothing positive about our relationship with the Muslim world over and o
  14. Why yes I do and it's paid for. Are you assuming that I can't afford the gas or to replace it? Maybe what they do over there is really none of our business. We need to keep the oil flowing at all cost. I would hate to give up my gas hog for a bunch of women that won't stand up for themselves or their children.
  15. The price of fuel has hit the working poor the hardest, pushing them down to the poverty level. Bush's last year he authorized that huge tax rebate for low wage earners, by the time it hit the mail boxes gas was almost 5.00 a gallon. He should have just written the checks to the oil companies. Low wage earners don't recover from these types of things. I would like to see them being considered in many decisions. We tend to dismiss them because they put themselves in that position. The thing is it impacts the higher wage earners when they slip into poverty, while making the same wages they alwa
  16. Maybe we could write the president and say we don't want any oil from Muslim countries in the united states.
  17. I was very upset after doing some research, these stories are common. I know everyone is heartbroken. Are we supposed to help? Maybe not. These countries are rich It just seems to me that it is unfair for the men of that society get to live the lives they do and to mistreat women and children. I can't imagine being born and dying a prisoner. I do feel guilty that we can do something and we don't. Maybe we could start a letter writing campaign.
  18. All I can say is the women that dared to publish this have risk their lives for nothing. Now I am going to cry. I don't know what else they can do. If this story does not motivate you to take action then they are helpless. Your anger and your tears serve no purpose if they don't motivate you to demand action against the government that condones this. As a multi millionaire he can marry other women and do this to every one of his children until he runs out of money. Go ahead and take out your anger on me, I am an up close target you can lash out at. Your angry at me for pointing out what we
  19. Sorry folks oil money goes straight to the Saudi government and is dispersed to the state.
  20. Activists said the judge ruled the few months al-Ghamdi spent in prison since his arrest in November was sufficient punishment. He has reportedly agreed to pay £31,000 ($50,000), which is believed to have gone to Lama's mother. The amount is half that would have been paid if Lama had been a boy. Activists say under Islamic laws a father cannot be executed for murdering his children. Husbands can also not be executed for murdering their wives, the group say. Three Saudi activists, including Manal al-Sharif, who started the women's right to drive campaign, have raised
  21. You march right up to your representative and let him know you would like him to intervene with the Saudi's to have this man put to death. The publishing of this story is a cry for help period there is no other reason to publish it than to create political pressure on the Saudi government to punish and prevent this. They didn't publish it nationally just to make people cry. This happens all the time there. I am sorry if that offends you, you can't handle thinking about how often it happens there, if you could get your mind around this being constant, happening thousands of times a day in
  22. In their culture she was a subservient brood mare and there are plenty more where she came from. Her mother could not even protect her child in that culture. They kill women when they are raped because their brood mares have been soiled. They are prisoners in their own homes, where the husband does as he pleases and nobody helps them, Nobody listens to them. The can't leave home without a male relative, they can't walk into a police station and ask for help. iof they did they would not get it. It is beyond sickening and it is not an isolated incident.
  23. I think she should be the poster child for governments all over the world that don't care what happens to women and children. The man that did it should be publicly executed . We have put ourselves in a weak position to help these women and children. All we can do is sit here and cry. It won't prevent it from happening again. Do you really think the government that puts a price on torturing babies deserves a single American dollar? Most of the time it doesn't even make the news. Do you know that if it was a women reporter that published this, they would turn a blind eye if she were raped an
  24. Perhaps you need to research how the Saudis divided up all the money that poured into their country. We support a government that does not care what is done with women and female children. By supporting them we finance every government in the region. Where is your compassion for the millions of women being treated like that? Our government is well aware of it. We want to be friends with them so they will keep the oil pumping.
