My daugther has always gotten questions about her age even when she was 8 or 9. She is really tall for her age, so people always assume she is older than she is. She is 14 (barely) and people always think she is 17 or 18. She is 6' tall. I hate that people want her to be an adult.

I'm right there with you. I don't think there show would ever be allowed in Paulding, and I can say I would never allow my daughter to be a part of it. They do way more dancing than they do playing. You mostly hear tuba and drums and not much of anything else. I will say that their show is "tamer" this year than last year.

I wanted to move this up so everyone could see it.

Does anyone know of any craftshows at local churches that could be coming up between now and Christmas? I would like to do a few shows locally before the holidays, and I seem to remember a few people on here talking about their churches having some coming up before the end of the year. Thanks in advance

They did a great job! My daughter is a precusionist, and even played with a broken foot! They have really worked hard and they all deserve to be congratulated. Great job Dr. Davis and Mr. Gibson! You taught them well! -
I have a copy of the showcase concert from last year. If she sang a solo in that, I have a copy of it that could be shown with her mother's permission for a fundraiser.

I was really stressed out about it. I had to take 3 kids to middle school, and then one to high school. By the time we got done at the middle school, it was almost 6. Got in the car and drove to the high school, and sat in traffic on the road to the school for over 30 minutes just to find a place to park, so by the time we got into the building, it was 6:50. By the time we got my daughter's schedule, the principal came over the intercom to say that open house was over. We got her schedule, but didn't get to see where any of her classes are, or meet any of her teachers. When the schools ar

I have taken celexa for about 4 years. It is by far the best anti-depressant that I have ever taken. However, saying that, anti-depressants work with your body chemistry so what works well for one person, won't necessarily work well for someone else. It makes me feel the most even. I have troubles with anxiety, so this works best for me.

The guy came back to my house today for the 3rd time. He was really pushy. I told him about the posts on Pcom, and that people had called the police, and he said "that can't be me, I'm legit". I told him that when you have all of that info about people and their children, it makes them extremely nervous. He just shrugged. He said that he didn't have anything scarry. Then he told me he was "referred" to me by someone that I didn't even know. (I know the persons children, but not the adult). I told him I didn't need his stuff and he told me my daughters name, her grade and her school. I

I have had both of my front teeth capped, and they were more expensive to cap than the back ones. I have 4 caps in all, and although I don't remember the prices exactly, I do know the front ones were a good bit more than the back ones. I was told that it is harder to cap the flatter teeth, and because they are in the front, and therefore more visable, more attention has to be given to the details on them. I have been happy with mine I had mine done about 2 years ago, and I used Dr. Bickford. He is awsome.

I completely agree!!!

I go to Dr. Bickford at distictive dentistry. He is AWSOME. I am a big chicken when it comes to the dentist, and he puts me at ease. I refer all my friends and family to him.

When we bought our home 15 years ago, my husband decided to have an independent inspection before our 1 year contract ran out. I thought it was a waste of $200. Boy was I wrong. They found that there was no flashing around the chimney, that there was no attic insulation (except for right around the entrance to the attic where you could see), and that the wiring for the AC and the washe/dryer were swapped. We had a VA loan, and there was a page in it that the builder signed that said that he certified "under penalty of up to 5 years in prison" that the insulation was a certain raiting. I c

Has anyone used one of those hanging tomatoe baskets?
3KIDS4US replied to 3683's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You have to water it a lot or they will die. They wilt in just 1 day, but as long as you water them enough, they work great. My husband got one last year from my Mother as a birthday present and he got a lot of tomatoes from it. -
Got my spot today. Looking forward to it!! Spaces left, but I have a feeling they will fill up fast!

I am going to come by this afternoon to get a spot. I haven't had time to get out there. I live on the other side of town. I am looking forward to it!

The car was not parked in the fire lane, but in a parking space. We did contact the police and they said that they have no report, and since it happened on private property, that they will take no action. We want our child to know that no matter how minor the damage, that he is responsible. We are not worried about our car at all, it is only a scuffed bumper, but we want to make sure that we pay for repairs to the other vehicles owner, and make our child apologize for not staying to deal with the situation. I don't want him to think that he got away with something. I want him to own his m

On April 15th there was a truck parked in the parking lot in the Kroger shopping center on Ridge Rd. It was in the area in front of Subway. The truck was scrapped by another car. Was this your truck? If it was, plese email me at this address or call me at 770-947-2336. I am not saying the color of the truck to verify that it is the correct one. As a parent, I just found out about this yesterday, and want to make it right.

I bet I know the neighborhood. This happened to a friend, and she had to work with both the Paulding County police and the Cobb police. They were suspicious of the mail carrier. They seemed to indicate that it was a known problem and that they were investigating it already when she had her problem. Her bank had sent her a new credit card, and they charged over $2,000 on it, and drained her checking account. It happened to her twice in the same year.

The info I have is from school principals that had to cut certified staff from doing ASP because it was loosing money. They have to pay certified staff more to be there. It really doesn't make any money for the county, more of a service. That is why it is so bad when parent don't pay when they should.

As I stated initally, this is my opinion. I don't know why you took it so personally. I am also a working mother, but I have always made my kids the priority, and work around their schedule. I agree that the system has been in place a long time, and it is hard to change things, but I am just saying the schools aren't responsible to watch your kids. ASP does not generate revenue for the county. By the time they pay all of the staff, electricity, water, etc., there is a loss of revenue. I like the idea of charging $15 on the 5th day, as long as it is break-even or profitable for the schools
