  1. I don't think that's a shore power connection. Shore power connections are usually a lot larger than that and are generally on the outside of the boat. I don't think I have ever seen one in that location, next to the door like that. Also, all the ones that I have seen are metal.
  2. I apologize in advance for this being in "girl talk". It looks like a pressure thingy to me. Does it have a little screen over the hole and is it threaded like something screws into it? I have one on my 27ft. Chris Craft. I don't really know what its used for and I need to find out also! If its any consolation, I've had my boat for years and have never used it and the boat is fine as far as I know. I was just looking at it while I was waxing this weekend because I'm curious about it also. Maybe this will give you enough info to find out more about it on the web.
  3. Vito's sounds great! I need to try it soon!
  4. Maybe I should read the book now. What's your opinion? Worth it?
  5. It was strange and kind of disturbing. It was supposed to be really good but it wasn't an enjoyable way to spend 2 hours.
  6. I don't think this week's photos are up yet. I think this is still last weeks.
  7. I emailed Lulu's pic in for Cutest contest yesterday but forgot to give my pcom name. Lulu belongs to Numbersgurl Thanks!
  8. I had many instances like that when we first moved here 15 years ago too. My husband works long hours and sometimes I could actually hear the hunters talking around dusk so I knew they had to be on our land or very close at least. Everyone always thought I was over-reacting but I absolutely hated it and the gunshots scared my 6 year old daughter to death.
  9. What type of work? I'm on the job boards for a couple of hours at least a day. I might have seen something if I know the area you are interested in...
  10. Where is that? Btw, I need to come get some more Nioxin.
  11. Are you on hwy 29? My parents live in Palmetto but are away right now.
  12. I had the greatest and easiest dip for a sample at Sam's: Mix sour cream and a package of chili seasoning mix Serve with Pretzel Chips It was fabulous!
  13. I wish I had thought of it! That would have been great!
  14. thanks for the info and I'll pass it along. So far, his date palms are doing well, and they are the local raccoons favorite meal unfortunately! The house is on stilts and they have one right in front of the kitchen window, its sometimes a surprise to being doing dishes and see a raccoon in that palm right in front of your face! LOL. And you are right about the 100 year freeze. Have you heard about all the dead fish? The vultures are every where. One small lake had 15,000 lbs. of dead fish in it. Some of the mangroves died on the coast, but not all of them, thank goodness.
  15. That was AWESOME!! I'm going to try it right now! Thanks!
  16. They might not be able to tell the difference between Florida and Georgia this winter! My dad is in Hernando County, north of Tampa. He lost a coconut palm before the big freeze. He has amazed the county extention office in one way though, they told him no mangos would grow there and my dad was preparing for his second crop. He is right on the gulf so that does keep things a little warmer but he's bummed about the coconut palm. Any suggestions?
  17. Aw, thanks! and I agree!
  18. She was visiting her grandparents in Florida so unfortunately there are quite a few of those jerks around.
  19. And I'd like to personally thank the jerk that stole my daughter's iphone out of her jacket pocket today at the store. Before I cancelled service, I sent 2 text messages to it. The first one said "This phone has locator on it. Turn it into lost and found." I did run family map and it showed it still in the vicinity. I waited 5 minutes and sent "Thou shalt not steal. What goes around comes around, you can count on it." At least I got to vent a little.
  20. My daughter had bikini line done at Allon Salon in Hiram over a year ago with great results. I think the choices were 7 or 9 treatments and she choose the 7. At first she didn't know if it was working but after going through all 7, she was really pleased with the results and still is.
  21. yep, that's who I was going to recommend since that's my father-in-law
  22. Suzanne Lowry is awesome. I used to go to her until my insurance changed and she didn't take it but that was a long time ago, I should see if she takes what I have now.
